Good price on the surface however thinking the resolution may be limiting on the size..?

I moved to an ultra wide from two monitors last year, so much better for both games and work!

It's not actually a large monitor at all. I'm being serious too. I used to have a 29" Ultrawide and now I use a 34" Ultrawide. 30" Ultrawide is not by any means a large monitor whatsoever.

That could be a sweet spot, resolution wise, for those that don't want to shell out for a bleeding edge PC/ have the "constant" upgrades that 4k needs?

    1440p is the sweet spot

For those who know their resolutions and panel types, is this any good for the money? Looking to move from two poor monitors to an ultra wide for a work setup (PC) then also potentially a Mac Mini too. (edited)

VA panels generally speaking has ghosting issues, which makes it less desirable for gaming but will be fine for office use, they have better contrast ratio than IPS or TN meaning richer Blacks will be shown, best for movies. Go for IPS if you favour gaming as they provide less input lag and no ghosting, IPS panels are also have better viewing angles and colour in comparison to VA.

This should give you some insight of the various monitor technologies {TN x VA x IPS } their pros and cons.

    Re: Eleqtriq

I have had a 27 incher for a couple of years with no problems. (Oooh-errr)

However the HDR simply does not work, and looking online it’s universally accepted that it does not work. Whether it’s the same for this one I don’t know.

If it’s anything like the one I have the buttons will be the lowest quality, clickety-crackety plastic poop ever.

It has been very reliable and it looks pretty decent no dead pixels, acceptable brightness but nothing that will wow you.

    Ol’reliable I call her. Can’t complain.
