Move over PCMasterRace there is a new boy in town and that is NintendoMasterRace.

Nintendo releases a AAA title that properly works on release day.

Its always been easier to make optimised console games - there's just one or a couple of platforms to test for. With PC there's a vast range of systems - most not configured correctly with users trying to run at 100% GPU load and wondering why it glitches etc.

TotK had a day 1 patch that improved performance - after years of development that still arrived after review copies. Xenoblade 3 was 200 hours and I dont remember a single bug.

The visuals on TofK dont hold up on a large screen TV - not just the framerate but the very aliased appearance made even worse when the camera pans - again Xenoblade 3 looked OK.

If this game is based on Breath Of The Wild, then don't even bother.
BOTW is extremely boring and pointless game. Apparently this is the same.

If you didn't like BotW, you might still like this. It has a lot more variety of activities, enemy types and side quests to do than BotW. The environments are also a lot better and more varied, heck I swear just the addition of caves by itself makes the world a lot more interesting to explore.

Still cheaper using the Argos method with work perks.
With the BLC 10% discount at asda no longer coming off your amount paid at point of sale.
You would still pay £48 for this, but have the discount back in the asda app.

£5 off at argos, combined with perks discount makes this only about £42.

I heard that the blue light discount is now through the Asda app and the money goes into your reward pot? Not sure whether that's the case but worth checking.

Good spot - I think you may be right but I haven’t tried this myself I’ve found the Ts and Cs here, but I do recall others using their BLC online.

That happened quick. Didn't realise it was released. Apparently it has GOTY written all over it. I don't have one of those Switch things though. Probably worth getting one for this game I imagine.

    You mean a Switch?

I had to jump through hoops to get it at this price on pre order. Heat 🔥

Me and my boy preordered and started playing last night, it's brilliant !!

Everyone, stop worrying about a few quid, just buy the game, it is bonkers good.

This is an excellent (and definitely not weird, mods ) post - no one should worry about saving money on a deals website. (edited)

This will add to our existing NHS staff shortages! I couldn't stop playing the game over the weekend...
    ChAdOx1's avatar
The solution is to take it in to work. That’s what I did over the weekend.

The game looks so good I've actually dusted of the original and started playing it
  15. mattlong37051's avatar
I think this is what I paid for it or thereabouts with the Game Collection eBay discount code, have some heat for sure

A good sequel but it's criminal that they kept the ridiculous weapon breaking every 2 minutes thing that was so frustrating in the first game. Also wish there were more villages and towns to visit as the game is huge and most of it feels pretty empty and almost pointless.

Can't help but feel they would have been better making it a launch title for a more powerful Switch 2, as the original is just about a potato now. (edited)

It's a hard balance I think, because trekking through the wild and exploring is a huge part of the game so that when you do come across a civilised area it's almost a relief that you have found shelter. I think that would be lost if the map was further populated.

The weapon breaking thing is still a tad annoying but equally it's not like resources are that sparse, and it makes you try new combinations.

Completely agree on the console though, yes it has its positives in portability, but it doesn't look anywhere near as good as it should on my TV compared to the Xbox Series X

Heat for the deal. I got it for £42, but that was buying the Nintendo voucher for £84 for 2 games. I had to buy another game anyway so it made sense.

I guess certain BLC holders have plenty of spare time on their hands to play this?

No thanks, it's enough of a sensory overload as it is.
