Whisky prices have gone up from then so you may get more. Key questions are:
1) Do you have proof of age? Real experts can age it through the barcode, ABV, details in the packaging, etc.
2) What is the fill level of the bottle?
3) What is the condition of bottle and packaging?
I'd rather pay £120 for a 30 year old bottling than the latest one for sure. A lot of whisky has gone down in quality over the years. The quality of the spirit that comes out of the stills is exactly the same. They can increase the volume of that spirit production to meet increased demand without reducing quality but what a lot of distilleries haven't managed to also do is maintain the same quality of casks to mature that spirit into whisky.
JWB is not a bad whisky at all and well worth paying £120 for
Tempting deal! Great price.
Is anyone else seeing it at £124.89 = £104.07 + VAT?
If my budget is £20 what would you recommend instead of JW Black?
