Tried the Aldi (crunchy) & while the taste was OK, it was nearly a liquid. Is this the same?

Did you forget to stir it after opening?

A natural peanut butter does not have palm oil or hydrogenated fats, so it will separate. Any natural nut butter (tahini too) will separate and will require stirring.

The American style stuff doesn't but then it is full of added hard fats, sugar and so.

The Aldi one doesn't even have any added salt making it 100% peanuts.

I think this works out the same price as the individual jars. It looks like it should be cheaper but I don't think there is a saving

Glad they do this now, saves the trip to Aldi. Assume it comes from same manufacturer.

Never found lidl version on shelf

I wonder if it has a warning on it for those with peanut allergies?

shelfs at mine one were cleared like always, not much fruits, eggs -> forget about it, as well as peanut butter

I go in the morning and the shelves are full of eggs

If this is the exact same as the Aldi one, I would still buy it in Aldi.
Reason being that Aldi also do it in glass jars at almost the same price per kg and with oily things like this I would rather not buy them in plastic. (edited)

Lidl also do it in the glass jars. Been buying it for years. However, after visiting a few Lidl stores, it seems they're selective with which stores they send it to.

This 1kg tub is quite creamy, and doesn't need mixing as much.

This stuff is so good. Prefer crunchy over smooth. Smooth is very wet

Nothing wrong with something being very wet wetter the better
