These are NCM battery, "smaller, lighter" but also less charge cycles, around 1500 before 80% capacity.
I would advise an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) which is heavier, but also typically 3 times more cycles.
But for some users the electronics will fail before the battery chemistry decays.

Good price for the capacity. The newer ones though are LifePO4 which last longer. I don’t think this one is?

Yes, unfortunately this isn't the 2nd version

Considering I made myself a 12.8v100ah lifepo4 (1280wh) battery for £120 by buying 4 cells and a bms which is a better chemistry than this, even with this discount I fail to seethe appeal.

This is a glorified battery bank for camping and what not. Don't consider this for anything you can power off a £5 extension lead

Can I ask, where did you get the cells from, and what was is a 3s 1p configuration?

Modern day equivalent of those green plastic petrol cans they sell at garages for folk who have run out.

Most Evs shouldn't charge off this considering it's not grounded. Also 1kwh is like 3 miles range (edited)

Can't fault the support from EcoFlow. I had the smaller "River" power pack that suddenly died after about 10 months. They arranged collection and I had a brand new replacement within days.

I really want to buy a 3.6kw version but I'm concerned about longevity. So much can go wrong and these are not cheap. Does anyone know if parts can be replaced?

Parts can always be replaced. Depends on how proficient you are with these things. 12v batteries of this capacity can still kill.

    showing as £899 for me??

Presumably you drive this device to where it's going to be used. In which case, why not use an inverter in the vehicle you drove?
    pibpob's avatar
You're not tied to the vehicle, and will not flatten its battery (which has a similar capacity to this).
