Does anyone know if they work on the self service tills? Thank you ️

I used it on a self checkout and it went through fine.

Just to confirm this works on the normal desk and also self serve/scan and the same code / screenshot works multiple times / multiple days, first bag couple of days ago and got my second bag today
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    Yes, can confirm this too.
Also works in both High Street and railway station stores.
Also works on the self-serve by manually typing in the 8 digit code if you can't the barcode to work.

Worked today scanning code first then strawberries afterwards. No faff with staff. 1 packet enough sugar! (edited)
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Yep, that's the way to do it.
Scan the Three+ code first, as though it's an item of shopping. It should appear on the screen as a free promotional bag of Haribos, then scan the Haribos and the total balance should show £0.00.
Some staff are doing it wrong at the manned checkout, they're scanning the Three+ code as though it's a payment method, and that doesn't work.
Best to do it yourself at the self-serve tills. (edited)

Thank you my friend. I worked for 3 head office in 2007/8 in Maidenhead.

Thank you OP, free Supermix in my belly!!!
  6. maizipops's avatar
Just had to argue with a jobsworth for my free bag - he insisted there should be a timer on the barcode
    maizipops's avatar
Yeah I pointed out the expiry date etc but he still had to go confer with a manager, haha. Got the bag. I don't get it when staff act like this... just scan the code, if it works it works.

Seems a bit daft having the same code for everyone to use. Which will indeed increase abuse of this offer.

All of the great Vodafone offers I see that I can’t use, now there is a Three offer but everyone can use it anyway!

Also works in Heathrow airport. T5 has numerous WHSmith shops and we acquired numerous bags of Haribo before a flight this week.
  9. Pichu's avatar
Dam, I picked up 2 more bags today in the same store across 2 transactions, these are definitely saving me money for Christmas hampers/stockings/presents couple more days to use for friends and family
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    Brilliant!
Offer extended to Nov 6th in my app, but it's the same barcode.
I nabbed 7 bags yesterday, travelling by train so I tried at all the stations.
Travelling back tomorrow, I'll get a few more.

Yes please if you have a spare code still
  12. blahblahblah1234's avatar
Works on the self serve in a High Street store. Scan the Three+ code 1st, then the Haribos. All good, no fuss. (edited)
  13. blahblahblah1234's avatar
    Thanks OP.
Just nabbed 2 bags using the same code.
    kd035050's avatar
    Scanned code both times?

Thanks for mentioning it. Found it in my App.

2 bags so far and will grab another if the promotion is still running tomorrow, cheers OP.

Got mine, wife in the shop was asking for my count down code! I was like my what? I said its on the App and had to back out my rewards to show her... maybe people have been going in with screenshots and they want to see it psychically on the App
    maizipops's avatar
I got asked the same. They prob think it's like the O2 Priority app with their countdown timers on coupons. Just pointed out the expiry date.
  18. blahblahblah1234's avatar
Just noticed the code I claimed in the app says it expires tomorrow November 1st.
One more day for me to rinse the deal.

Also, the offer in the app now says valid until November 6th.
Has it been extended, maybe they haven't reached 30000 redemptions?

    csa1's avatar
Yeah just logged into my app and showing new expiry of 6th November. Haven't activated the code though to see if same barcode as before
  19. Toon_army's avatar
Well I've just got home, the self scans worked. I entered the code manually then scanned the Haribos

Has this offer not expired now?
  21. bozo007's avatar
Managed to get one in Wandsworth only because someone had put it between two magazines. Main shelf was empty.
  22. blahblahblah1234's avatar
I wonder how they'll apply the 30,000 limit?
They might stop issuing codes in the app, but if they're valid at WHS until the 31st, we've got 2 more days to rinse the deal.

    Thanks op

    Nice find op.

Didn't work today at Leeds rail station !
    cameron.carter's avatar
Weird. The terms and conditions say it isn't eligible at motorway stations, but says nothing about train stations.
  26. kd035050's avatar
The cashier didn’t even scan the code in my w h smith :-)
    cameron.carter's avatar
Likewise. They have a code on the till, they just wanted to see that I had the barcode.

App doesn't work and the local WHSmiths is closed for unspecified reasons. Dream team!

  33. Reuben_BM's avatar
Does anybody know if I can add 2 packs of these and 2 codes to same transaction?
    jayzone1998's avatar
How much haribos do you need
  34. Apple_Revolution's avatar
    Anyone have a spare code
  35. Sam93's avatar
can anyone help with a code please. my app says no more codes left.
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    Try again.

I claimed a code in the app this morning, even though I've claimed previously.
It's still the same code, with the expiry date extended to 12/11/2023.
  36. blahblahblah1234's avatar
Extended to Nov 16th now in my app.
    jayzone1998's avatar
It's mad how they keep extending it when people keep abusing the offer
  37. Reuben_BM's avatar
It's ran out now it won't work
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
They've changed how the self-serve tills work in Reading, maybe rolled out to all stores?
If you scan the voucher WITHOUT scanning the Haribos, you can still print a receipt showing "FREE HARIBO THREE VOUCHER", and the till says "Thank you for shopping with us". I'm sure that's all you need.
I had the same issue last week at Paddington and Leeds stations. One till in Paddington tried to make me pay 1p, so I used a different till and that was OK.
It's weird how different tills behave in different ways.
