Nope I run 8 accounts around the country. All are at the same time. Go to the app and click through the Octoplus tab, bottom right
It's different for everyone. I kept getting weekdays between 14.00 - 16.00 so I used to get some washing in and do the hoovering. I think they cottoned on as my latest one was 9.00 - 12.00 but nobody is in then!
This session is to NOT use energy and get rewarded for what you save on average
So how does this work? I've got my sessions 17:30-18:30 tomorrow does it base it on today's usage or something else?
How do you work out my typical energy use?

We’ll look at your historical smart meter data leading up to a Session, and calculate what you usually use at that time of day, on average.
If the Session is on a weekday, we’ll look at your half-hourly usage over the last 10 weekdays (excluding Saving Session days). If the Session is on a weekend, we’ll look at your half hourly usage over the last 4 weekend days.
We then use these half-hourly averages as a benchmark – so you’ll earn points for every kilowatt hour you save compared to that number during your Session.
Hold on during the session are you meant to use electric and gas or not? (edited)

I've opted in, first one for me - only got smart meters at the start of this month
Not sure why people are quoting different times? The times are 1730-1830 across the UK.
There is a whatsapp group on Octopus which announces the times - unless these are very specific to you then this is a national group?
Covers export too this time? May dump the batteries!
Shame it isn't the 4hrs -1 they did last year but at least batteries can be dumped for export for those people with batteries.

How sweet of Octopus to be sending out the notifications at 2000hrs to remind all of my accounts to opt in for the 1730hrs saving session. Perhaps the Octopus rep could get someone to look at this before the next session?
