I find most service providers unreliable (or sneaky), so I set up my own reminders on Google Calendar telling me to switch.

They do send them. I received mine this morning. They do not come from Lebara, but from eu-west-1.amazonses(dot)com

I get them too and SMS notifications though wish I could turn them off on a number basis. Last email I received 3 weeks ago was from LebaraMobile@lebara.com

I manually turned mine off and still got charged - I challenged it and was called a liar by their helpdesk (I posted the transcript on here a while back). Shady business. I ended up removing my credit card details and porting out (I ported to Lyca and lost out on their auto renew deal due to their "cyber attack"). I just can't be bother chasing up - I really need to....

Did you turn off auto renew using the app? I've read reports of the app being glitchy.
