Amazon returns?

I ordered the set of three pairs of Calvin Klein trunks in the short style. I then saw a deal at the same price, but these were slightly longer in length, which I prefer. So I ordered them. The original ones are still in their unopened Amazon packaging. I have tried to return them, but Amazon are saying I can't. I thought we had distance selling regulations so anything purchased online can be returned within fourteen days?

There is an exception in the consumer contracts regulations for hygene or health protection reasons but it does specify sealed items that have been unsealed.

So if the items are still sealed then Amazon can't deny the return on those grounds.

Just had a chat with one of their agents. Just had a full refund and told to keep them, crazy!

... which reinforces earlier post in this thread stating:
OP wishes to exercise statutory "cancellation",
that may or may not result in a "return".

Was it an amazon marketplace seller? If so, then you need to do returns through them.

    Just checked, directly from Amazon

Need to select not as described or faulty as they won't accept return them otherwise

    Let's be marginally more pedantic:
OP wishes to exercise statutory "cancellation",
that may or may not result in a "return".

Amazon has difficulty with separation of cancellation and return, but when pushed will satisfy local off-premises sales legislation by providing a PDF cancellation form to be completed and sent to...
    Luxembourg.
    Hilarious.

Underwear are not returnable if the package is opened.
You must tell them you haven't opened it yet (edited)
