Dartford Crossing Payment

I’ve always paid the charge in the evening after I’ve used the crossing, just gone to pay now for two crossings today and comes up with this new thing about only pay for future crossings, does this mean I can’t pay for the ones I’ve done today? Tried googling but no luck, many thanks if anyone knows.

I get the same thing if I choose option for Pay for crossings without an account and input my reg number. But, I haven't made any crossings in the last 24 hours.

Are you sure you input the correct registration?

But I don't see an option for it either. Possibly some bug.

System is terrible. Same thing happened to me in August and then a day/two later it came up and I paid it when the option was there (in hindsight I probably should have called them up and found a way to pay within the 'deadline' they state).

Anyhow got a letter yesterday (NEARLY 4 MONTHS LATER) saying that I didnt pay and now have a PCN. Told them everything about how I'd paid etc and the guy was quite rude. Said that its out of date and I have to pay the whole amount.

Queried what happened to the payment I actually made and if that would be deducted off the total PCN. Again rudely was told No and it'll just go in credit. Wasn't really welcoming but if I was you I'd try get it sorted ASAP before they do something like this to you!

Thanks sounds a nightmare, I've paid it now and taken a screenshot if any issues.
