How much money have you spent on Christmas presents this year?

I am quite pleased with myself, I have done it all under £200, down from the usual £500-£600 I spend.
Decided to not go wild this Christmas, every year I put myself in debt buying things on credit but this year decided not to.. very pleased with myself right now.

We try to spend similar amounts across all the kids.
My oldest son wants a new phone, an Xbox Series X, PS5 and a gaming PC. He has already been bought tickets to WWE, over £500 of Xbox games, a new phone, new SIM, memory card, a gaming PC, lego, omg, I don't consider them spoilt, but it has been expensive making sure all 4 kids have a similar amount of gifts this year!

Maybe the replies are giving you an idea? - your kids, your money do what you want - but put a post on here like that and expect comments. My opinion - beyond spoilt. I hope they truly understand the value of money and social justice.....

I spend maybe 3-400 on my only child. I think it's a little too much sometimes, but if he asked for all of the above he would get some serious conversations on greed and value

Never buy on credit, fools game unless you are paying it off straight away or it's interest free. (edited)

To be fair I only ever buy when it's interest free.

Zero for cards or presents, and that was too much.
The people I mix with are of the same mindset. I'm not buying £20 worth of crap for you, and you don't need to buy £20 worth of crap for me. This way we have the equivalent of a £20 cash gift from each other.
The only winner of Xmas presents is the Chinese GDP (edited)

That makes sense - what about family members, do you have kids? Do you bother saying Merry Christmas or spreading a little extra happiness?

£100 for my son and we are not doing anything else for anybody this year

About £30. Used to be around £80. Most of our family have agreed not to buy each other presents, just a card. Christmas is about being together, playing games, and going out for walks. (edited)

Hardly spent anything, probably around £250 mainly on cash gifts but I did treat myself to a new TV setup a few weeks ago that cost around £2000 which is the most expensive electrical item I've ever purchased, luckily I also never buy things on credit. (edited)

Just thankful I don't do Christmas. Otherwise the pressure of what to buy for who would just kill me.

£20 cash for each niece and nephew, £10 gift for great niece and nephews. £50 for other niece over in ireland, about £50 on my friend, but bought in bits over the year, about £150 on son.

I bought a pirate copy of the film Bohemian Rhapsody for £5..

The quality is awful. I can only see a little silhouette of a man?
