Look what train travel in Germany is like for the Euros 2024

Could you imagine any of our train companies doing this? I am off to the Euros and there are loads of other train deals too like

int.bahn.de/en/…ket (not on ICE and IC/EC) but all local travel for a month for 49 Euros.

Deutsche Bahn has a terrible reputation at the moment, being widely mocked for delays and cancellations.

Most UK train companies of late are run by private companies that are actually subsidiaries of foreign governments, for example cross country is arriva which is run by DB (German). Avanti have an Italian subsidiary.

My point is that these companies can do better deals in the own countries because we are effectively paying for it lol (edited)

Think this is green angle and sponsored by the German Government. The more the several million of kms are done by train massively reduces the Carbon Footprint.
