Spindle Width: 7mm Square

Measuring Your Handle

Screw Hole Fixing Centres: Most espag handles are made to industry standards with 43mm screw hole centres, therefore it really doesn't matter if you choose a style that's different to your existing handle, as long as the handle centres measure 43mm these handles will fit.

Handing: These handles are of the inline type (Non-handed), therefore they will replace both left and right hand handles.

Spindle Length: Remove the two screws fixing the handle to the window and measure from the base of the handle to the tip of the spindle.

Spindle Width: Although almost all espag spindle widths measure 7mm square, its worth checking before ordering as some unusual 8mm variations have been known, although these are mostly on timber windows.

52225607-Wzulr.jpgWe have very non-child friendly handles on all of our windows, can I replace them all with these? Thanks in advance!

Nope - your handles are called cockspur handles which can be purchased with locks.

I have a couple of windows in the kitchen (opening into the conservatory) locked with no keys. I can see the screws to take the handles off. Will the handles just pop off in the locking position by unscrewing and these go on as replacements? Thanks

Sorry for being naive, please could someone inform how to measure the spindle length of your existing handles, thanks

My window handle doesn't fully close. Is that a problem with the handle or the locking mechanism?

If it's locking mechanism does anyone know how I can fix it please. Thank you

Sounds like it's the handle - best way to confirm this is to swap the handle with an identical one from another window - if this 'replacement' handle closes properly, then you know that the handle that was originally on that window is faulty - if the 'replacement' handle also doesn't close properly, then it's the window mechanism at fault.

these are pretty much the worst money can buy. the clip mech inside is plastic so they will definitely fail. do this for a living. they are a clone of a Trojan Sparta handle. junk

I need to replace some failed Trojan Sparta window handles - what would you recommend that's not junk?

I've had two of these break this week so that you can't open the window. The locking mechanism breaks and locks in place.

just use brute force, will open. then change them. they are junk

The uPVC handles are back! Hot hot hot. With the limited number of windows in your house or apartment. Why not glue a few more on to your house and make it feel like a mansion.

Will this fit a Vauxhall Cavalier?

Unfortunately these are the Opel fit and only work on the other side

Of course mine has 35mm spindle ffs. Does that mean I can’t order 30mm or 40mm
    Jinkz's avatar
Order the 40mm and trim the bar

What a poor purchase on my part! Bought three, and they arrived today in a plain plastic bag. Each one had the paint chipped off of them. They don’t feel or appear like they are good quality. Buy cheap, buy twice!

Can anyone tell me if there is any Black or Gold coloured ones at this price or near this price?

man I got a window that lock that's busted. I took the lock off but the windows sealed shut. I'll have to break the window off and replace it.

Worth looking on Youtube before you do that as there might be a video showing what to do when that happens.
