Get 20% off* a Service plan in our Spring event also available on commercial vehicles.

What is a Service Plan?A Service Plan from Volkswagen is a payment plan that combines the cost of a certain number of scheduled services into one lump sum, providing you with the chance to pay monthly or upfront, avoiding larger payments when services are due.

We even have a plan to help you spread the cost of your MOT, Warranty and Roadside Assistance. We have a range of Service Plans available, for new and used cars, whether they are petrol or diesel, electric or hybrid.

What's Covered? We have a variety of plans depending on age and engine type. What’s included can vary depending on this. In general, our experts will inspect your car and ensure all its important components are in good working order, and they will highlight any additional necessary work to you. Depending on what engine type you have, we will drain the oil and replace filters or will inspect charging cables and battery health. One of our plans also includes MOT, Warranty and Roadside Assistance.

Below are tables outlining the plans we have available:

Terms and Conditions

*Offer is valid until 2 April 2024. Discount applied, where applicable. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.

*Valid for vehicles aged 3 to 6 years, with a 2.0L engine or less and under 100,000 miles at activation. Eligibility criteria and exclusions apply. Excludes electric vehicles and vehicles with an existing service plan. Vehicles that have been out of a warranty (that has been provided by Volkswagen UK or Volkswagen Financial Services) for more than 30 days will have a no-claim period of 30 days at the start of their policy. The All-in Warranty does not cover any vehicle already covered under any other guarantee, insurance, warranty and/or gesture of goodwill.

Can I cancel my Service Plan?
You can cancel your Service Plan within 14 days of purchasing it as long as no work has been carried out.

Shame it excludes EVs. Does anyone know how much a service for a id3 should be? I saw 297 on there which includes brake fluid change as well as a 'service' and a mot. Seems not too bad although it is just a pollen filter change and a 'inspection

Just a FYI, this is the quote I got for my EV.

    I have a quick look at the 2 year plan. 1 x oil change & 1 x 'full service' total= £592 on the plan.

Then, I searched for my local VW specialist.
    1 x oil change £118
    1 x full service £252

Having worked in the motor trade, service departments no less, I can safely say you pay the premium for the manufacturer 'stamp' in your service book and the big shiny glass showrooms.
Technicians are normally paid with 'time' bonuses and upsell replacement parts, etc.

When you go to a specialist, they may have been a manufacturer trained technician or a very skilled enthusiast with a mechanical engineering background.

They tend to want to look after their customers for repeat business and will replace only whats required.

Obviously, do your research, but that my 2 cents....

VW service plans are massively overpriced. Depends very much on whether you want or not to save money, right.
I have been doing my own servicing for 10 years now. It is not complicated, but if you don't want to do it yourself you can get good prices at local garages.

I had been all in to go with this a year ago until I looked back at my full VW service history. The car was consuming oil, on a long life service the wrong oil was used. The Service Manager could not tell me specifically what oil was used, VW customer service useless! Just beware if you’ve bought a VW with full dealer history, that means nothing until you get it serviced in your own name!

Applies to Skoda as well, so could be VAG-wide

I was waiting for the 25% discount but it seems they will do it again in August...

Is that a fairly regular deal?

    Not including Audi

It's just an expensive oil change...

This is really good and it's worth it across any VAG vehicle I would say. I've saved a fortune in the last 18 months, everything that can go wrong with a VAG car has on my fairly new Tiguan! All been covered under the warranty so far. If I added all the invoices, it would amount to over £6k!! I've just booked it in again for some more issues with the parking sensors; it's never ending with these cars...
    djbooth77's avatar
Depending on how much you are 'invested' in the car, it's very much worth considering changing it for a different car. That many problems with a new car is not a good sign at all.
  10. Fatso666's avatar
Is it really worth it? This just covers the service, any issues that crop up you're going to have to pay out of pocket for, and VW like all dealerships charge ridiculous prices (edited)
    BanterKing's avatar
2 year’s warranty and after doing a free MOT any issues that flag up are covered. No brainer
  11. vortex-3's avatar
If you get the all in plan for £30 a month, it includes 2 services, 2 MOTs, and 2yrs extended VW warranty as well as 2yrs roadside assistance.
    J1135's avatar
    This,

Paying 26.99 for my skoda kodiaq (ultimately vwfs) only recently found out it also included roadside as well!

Needed to use them and they turned up within an hour which I was very surprised at

I bought a 2 year service plan for my used Golf GTE in 2021. At the 2nd MOT and service they found that the gearbox seal was leaking oil. The job was going to cost me £3000+. Luckily the service plan covered it. Last year, I bought another 2 year service plan (it was on offer for around £600+) which should cover me until September 2025. (edited)

    Excludes EVs
    Granville38's avatar
yeah, real shame, i have been hoping they will add EV's for some time now. Not sure how much the extended warranty will be when i get there.

Bought this 2 years ago for my Polo. Was £15.50, now £16.40 so negligible jump.
Not sure I’ll take it up for next 2 years. Polo is 7 years old and a VW Indy has quoted ~£130 for oil service and inspection (which this is x2 plus one cabin filter costs about £10 and takes 2 minutes to fit). (edited)

Does it include things they say need to be changed at certain intervals, like the cambelt?

Is there a general rule of thumb for the number of services required for cars?
I have a lease car, so really would just want to the to bare minimum of services.
When ever you speak to VW they never give a straight answer
    TrueMenWearBeards's avatar
Normally at stages of years or mileage, whichever comes first.
  17. ptpeetee's avatar
The 2 year VW service plan I took out before Christmas doesn't even include a set of 4 spark plugs on the "major service"
    FancyVW's avatar
It does if the service schedule requires it but no, the major service doesn't automatically include them.
  18. Mohammed_Din's avatar
They don’t change the air filter or fuel filter on a full service any more that’s extra kind of scam on my Audi
  19. person1616's avatar
I guess a car from 2018 won’t be covered right as the max age is 6 years on any service plans?
    biv2k's avatar
Depends when in 2018 it was registered, I think if you enter your reg it would tell you
  20. Fabby's avatar
I don't understand is the price already discounted? 2012 VW, 24 months at £16 gets you ... One service or two?
  21. wolfiewolf's avatar
Thanks…. My wife’s Golf has a full VW service history…. This helps sustain it I guess…. So thanks 🙏
  22. iansin's avatar
I was offered a two year service deal, MOT's and services . When I approached them they said I was not legible for it as my car was too old only 8 years. I can only have a service only plan .
I was offered VW plan where I pay into a pot then if I need a service or MOT then money is there, I might as well put money aside myself.
    Not impressed
  23. Darvel's avatar
I purchased my all in march 30 2022. But contract says ends 29/03/25. I've used all the services so I'm gonna miss out. Car is 6 years old in June. No idea why the contract is 3 years.
  24. pazzyt's avatar
Just noted that the All-in plan  externded warranty , service plan and breakdown cover “Are between 3 and 6 years old at point of activation“ . This means I should be able to get it for my 5 year old car and extend warranty to 7 years. Its a good value scheme imho
    akhan48's avatar
Don’t expect them to pay for anything that breaks under their “extended warranty”. Pretty much everything is excluded
