What is a Service Plan?A Service Plan from Volkswagen is a payment plan that combines the cost of a certain number of scheduled services into one lump sum, providing you with the chance to pay monthly or upfront, avoiding larger payments when services are due.
We even have a plan to help you spread the cost of your MOT, Warranty and Roadside Assistance. We have a range of Service Plans available, for new and used cars, whether they are petrol or diesel, electric or hybrid.
We even have a plan to help you spread the cost of your MOT, Warranty and Roadside Assistance. We have a range of Service Plans available, for new and used cars, whether they are petrol or diesel, electric or hybrid.
What's Covered? We have a variety of plans depending on age and engine type. What’s included can vary depending on this. In general, our experts will inspect your car and ensure all its important components are in good working order, and they will highlight any additional necessary work to you. Depending on what engine type you have, we will drain the oil and replace filters or will inspect charging cables and battery health. One of our plans also includes MOT, Warranty and Roadside Assistance.
Below are tables outlining the plans we have available:

Then, I searched for my local VW specialist.
1 x oil change £118
1 x full service £252
Having worked in the motor trade, service departments no less, I can safely say you pay the premium for the manufacturer 'stamp' in your service book and the big shiny glass showrooms.
Technicians are normally paid with 'time' bonuses and upsell replacement parts, etc.
When you go to a specialist, they may have been a manufacturer trained technician or a very skilled enthusiast with a mechanical engineering background.
They tend to want to look after their customers for repeat business and will replace only whats required.
Obviously, do your research, but that my 2 cents....
I have been doing my own servicing for 10 years now. It is not complicated, but if you don't want to do it yourself you can get good prices at local garages.
Paying 26.99 for my skoda kodiaq (ultimately vwfs) only recently found out it also included roadside as well!
Needed to use them and they turned up within an hour which I was very surprised at
Not sure I’ll take it up for next 2 years. Polo is 7 years old and a VW Indy has quoted ~£130 for oil service and inspection (which this is x2 plus one cabin filter costs about £10 and takes 2 minutes to fit). (edited)

I have a lease car, so really would just want to the to bare minimum of services.
When ever you speak to VW they never give a straight answer
I was offered VW plan where I pay into a pot then if I need a service or MOT then money is there, I might as well put money aside myself.
Not impressed
