Amazon.co.uk but sold by Amazon EU return question

Hi all,

I am interested in buying an electronic item from Amazon. It's available on the .co.uk website but its saying its sold by Amazon EU. I have bought before from Amazon.de and the returns process was an absolute nightmare. I lost around £400 all in as the item never got returned due to customs issues (recurring theme if you search online) and then it got lost around the 4th attempt to return it and I just lost the will to fight it after that.

Does anyone know if i buy from the .co.uk website whether, in the event i have to return it, it will go to a UK distribution hub or will i have to send it back to Slovakia?

I bought some solar lights from amazon, going through the UK site. 2 have already failed and when I went to return them, I couldn't get the return processed.

I contacted them and they said that the UPS option (that initially showed) is no longer available and if I want to return them, I have to use the label they will send me, but pay the international postage myself and they will then be repaid once they've received it!

I've only had them a couple of weeks. The order was fulfilled by amazon. I asked to be put through to a manager who was very rude and told me that was my only option. The lights were £40 but big and bulky, so I dread to think how much it might cost to send them internationally!

I'm tempted to sack it off and not throw good money after bad, but I don't like amazon shafting me!

The return policy of the site you buy from applies.
