Amazon banned account

Hi All

My amazon was banned/closed due to the following reason they emailed.

“We have detected unusual ordering activity on your account, and have therefore canceled your order as a precautionary measure to protect the Amazon store and our customers.”

It won’t let me place any orders and I have tried creating another account under my partners name and used different payment methods but the same error.

Their customer support team isn’t helpful.

Any idea how to get this resolved?

Thanks

It's hard if not impossible to get these resolved. They're not interested nor do they have to do anything about it.

You can get around the address block by stopping ordering to your address, use a pickup point instead, you need to use a new card, clear your cookies and not use the app etc. Basically anything to avoid them tying the account to you. And don't buy things you might want to return going forward if at all possible. (edited)

    The potential flaw with that option is that regardless of remote delivery address/location there is still the expectation to state the registered address of the payment card holder;
but it may be OK for purchases funded by pre-purchased Amazon gift card.

Many of these posts don't really give any clues as to what's happened which maybe suggests the person concerned knows why but just wants suggestions how to get out of it.

In saying that I've seen a few Discussion threads where the person is genuinely baffled and doesn't feel they've made many returns or committed (as Amazon may see it) fraud (switcheroo, empty box being returned, non-deliveries marked as delivered, etc) - the usual reasons for an Amazon ban.

You could try one of the Amazon email addresses (afaik jeff at amazon dot com doesn't work now) - but managingdirector@amazon.co.uk might still work.

Be as concise but comprehensive as you can, assuming you have a good reason to dispute!

You get that meanwhile I keep using the same 2 email addresses to get 6 month free as a student

How long you been doing that?

    any high value returns?

Amazon would normally ban your address. Only way round it is to use relatives address and deliver to collection point for you to collect. (edited)

Consider it as being set free from the shackles that are Amazon

    No shackles, only personal choices

I have had some returns but honest returns and they have just blocked me. They won’t review anymore as they said

Do you live in a an apartment block and someone else could have abused Amazon in the building?

Chargeback? No way back from that with Amazon.

So it should be. If someone feels the service is so bad to warrant using the chargeback process. That person shouldn't be coming back.
