I woke up at around 2 am so went and had a look at the sky, plenty of stars but couldn't see anything of the Northern Lights. Will try taking a photo tonight to see if that reveals them.

I think I'm the only person in the entire UK who didn't see even the vaguest hint of any aurora last night.
Nope - was cloudy this way last night.
If it helps, I've lived in central/north Scotland most of my life, and never seen them. (Don't think my wife has either)
Managed to get a quick pic on my iPhone 27 Pro UltraMaximus at 2.89 this morning.
Likely to be seen again tonight. No codes needed no discount cards

Well, all the electric just went off for a few seconds with me.
Was visible to the naked eye were I am. Also seen a live badger for the first time.
At 1am I saw a badger but no northern lights.

Another chance for people to create photos that look nothing like the real thing.
A lot of the stuff you cant actually see but if you keep a camera shutter open for about 3 seconds it picks up more light. So you will have a great photo but you wouldn't have seen it with your own eyes.
Or so I learned today. Not something you can really do with a mobile phone in hand.
Gutted I missed them but my daughters workmate took this picture.
