About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Nectar, the UK's largest loyalty programme, has made arrangements with eBay to offer eBay buyers the opportunity to collect Nectar points on eligible items and then convert them to an e-voucher to spend them on items that are purchased on eBay.co.uk using PayPal, credit card, debit card or PayPal Credit on check out.

The below terms apply to all eBay users who choose to participate in Nectar on eBay.

1. Collecting Nectar points

To begin collecting Nectar points with eBay you must have a Nectar card. If you don't already have one, you will need to visit nectar.com to sign up. You must be a UK resident to register for a Nectar card and take part in the Nectar programme.

You must have an eBay.co.uk account, a Nectar account and link the two together. You can then collect Nectar points every time you buy eligible items on eBay.co.uk where the Nectar logo is displayed on the view item page and you check out using PayPal, credit card, debit card or PayPal Credit.

You will not collect Nectar points on any transactions that occurred before you linked your eBay.co.uk and Nectar accounts.

You will receive one Nectar point per £1 you spend per eligible item up to a maximum of 300 Nectar points. If you spend £xx.99, this will be rounded up for the purposes of collecting Nectar points. Anything less will be rounded down. As an example – if you spend £29.99, you will receive 30 Nectar points. If you spend £29.95, you will receive 29 Nectar points.

20x Nectar Points Bonus on eBay 19th April

Note: Minimum spend of £20. These days, Nectar bonus points don’t seem to appear in the shopping basket before payment, but they magically appear in your Nectar eBay page after you make your purchase.

So, I guess you can just buy something on the 19th and make sure you’re Nectar card is connected to your eBay account.

    Terms and conditions

Once you've activated any Nectar offer, it appears here now if it is successful ebay.co.uk/nec…ome (this is a generic link anyone can follow)

Example from the recent 1000 pts bonus deal, the banner didn't appear in my account & still hadn't up to the end of the deal, but I successfully activated it anyway & received the points as well from an eligible purchase...

    Great deal, thank you op

Starts on 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 folks - before we have some inattentive ones saying it doesn't work for them before the day!

If you can post the direct link to the activated deal on Wednesday, that would be great thanks
As it usually works even on accounts that it doesn't show for - has done in the past anyway

Some important notes some may find useful...

    - It needs to be 𝗼𝗻𝗲 item costing £20 or over. If you buy 2 or more items totalling £20 (even from the same seller or mutiples of the same item), it will not be eligible. If you buy 2 or more items each costing £20, it will be payable on only one item.

    - Any offers accepted / items won in an auction need to be made 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 activating the offer on the 19th. If an offer is accepted before activating & you pay on the 19th after activating, you will not be eligible. If you win an auction before activating & choose to pay on the 19th after activating, you will not be eligible apparently
𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁: However, during the last 30x offer in Feb, it seemed to work for items won / offers accepted before the offer day as long as you activated, then paid on the offer day - an example here hotukdeals.com/com…299

    - Make sure to checkout & pay for your item by 23:45 on the 19th or earlier if you can, no need to take closer risks!

    - One can use existing vouchers in their accounts (garned via Nectar points too) to pay, but the item has to be at least partially funded with an acceptable online payment method - i.e. the usual PayPal, credit/debit cards, etc, etc
    More details here hotukdeals.com/com…957

    - Cashback also pays out in conjunction with these offers, so make sure to go via your fave site once you're ready to pay...
    TCB topcashback.co.uk/ebay/
    Quidco quidco.com/eba…-uk

NOTE: If anyone has any conflicting thoughts/experiences regarding any of the above, let me know & I'll query it with eBay CS or add it to this post

A £300 spend always gets one max benefit btw, regardless of the Nectar deal - whether it's 1x (the standard rate), 10x, 20x, 30x or whatever multiples, as they won't pay out on any spend greater than that (so capped at 9000pts)...
    𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹, 𝟮𝟬𝘅 £𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 = 𝟲𝟬𝟬𝟬𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗿 £𝟯𝟬
    20x £400 spend is still 6000pts or £30

    For 30x deals - example hotukdeals.com/dea…933
    30x £300 spend is 9000pts or £45
    30x £400 spend is still 9000pts or £45 (edited)

Anyone know if I send a seller an offer and they accept it and then I purchase the product on Wednesday, will it track?
    Crossbow's avatar
If they accept your offer 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 activating the Nectar offer then yes.
If the item is still available on the 19th, activate the Nectar offer prior to making your item offer & coordinate with the seller if you have to - because only if they accept your offer & you pay within the Nectar offer period, you'll stand to gain the 20x.
Perhaps put in a polite note in with your offer, requesting them to either accept or reject your offer within a few hours. So you know where you stand, & if it doesn't work out you'll have enough time to look for an alternative.
If it's getting too close to the Nectar deadline & they still haven't accepted/rejected, retract your offer in time to look for an alternative.
Please make sure to carefully read the very specific rules/time limits about cancelling an offer here ebay.co.uk/hel…019 (edited)

Why not just 10% off instead of faffing around with this offer
    Sherbat's avatar
Just based off the last promo and past Power Hours, it's obvious why.

Plenty of people leave it late (myself included (zombie)) and eBay like to delay the order so it goes past the expiry time therefore rejecting your bonus points. The 28 days waiting period is a stalling ploy (because eligible orders add bonus points straight away with the base points) as then you'll either forget or not bother and returning the item is a hassle too.

If you do use this, make sure not to leave it to the 23rd hour.
  6. cascadde's avatar
Can you also spend Nectar points when purchasing the item during this promo?
    Crossbow's avatar
Yes, as long as you fund some of it with PayPal, payment card or similar - here's their reply...
"Upon checking the 20x promotion, ideally you should pay the complete price of the item and then the bonus points will be credited.
However, one thing can be done here. Instead of paying the complete £20 using Nectar vouchers you can use the Nectar voucher to pay part of the amount.
For exampe, you can convert your points to a Nectar voucher worth £15 and then pay the remaining £5 using PayPal, credit card, debit card, PayPal Credit or other form of online payment accepted by us."
[Just to be clear... this rules out cash, cheques & similar]

I just won an auction (10pm on 18th). If I wait to pay by paypal after midnight (so on the 19th), should I be eligible for the 20x bonus points? thanks, couldn't see anything clear in the T&Cs
  8. whereisthesun's avatar
Followed the steps, worked as it should, Thanks.

When I've tried to use the last 3 bonus points offers, it hasn't shown the right nectar points in the basket during checkout. Anyone else experiencing the same?
    charlie12's avatar
That’s normal with the new system implemented 2 months ago.
  10. Shazzz's avatar
Can someone confirm that it seems that if I bought multiples of the same item from the same seller in the same transaction I can get bonus points but if several different items from different sellers it will me bonus points for only one item?
    50010842-YRi8v.jpg (edited)
    Mooney_70's avatar
Yes you'll be fine if you buy multiple of the same item from the same seller. As long as it comes to £20 or more excluding postage then it is seen as one transaction. Or just buy one item costing £20 or more excluding postage. (edited)
  11. lucifon's avatar
I see the offer. Ordered a few things and no sign of 20x points?? Points look normal now that they're showing in the nectar section. I'll cancel if they're not going to register. Anyone else?

So naturally just because there was a 20x Nectar deal happening (big whoop right, anyone remember the 50x one ) instead of going to bed, I trawled eBay for maybe over an hour to find something either needed or really wanted (since it's not a deal if you just buy stuff you will never use, gift, resell for profit etc.) Throw into the mix the fact the item has to be cheaper than anywhere else on the internet after all is said and done or what are you even doing. So I've discovered there is an insane amount of overpriced items on eBay's main pages, one in particular with a ludicrously fake RRP to give the impression of a massive discount. I bought something at 6 minutes to midnight in the maddest most stupid shopping rush this year (eBay confirmation email arrived in my inbox at 23.59 lol). What did I get? Adidas trackies for £24.99. I must have 20 pairs already. 500 nectar points worth £2.50? I'm insane and I know it too. The dealsss though 🤤
    Mooney_70's avatar
This is why you have a watch list or you can save items for later by your shopping basket. I bought some more aftershave that I don't need. It was a blind buy so if it's no good then I'll shift it on FB marketplace. I do like the eBay/nectar link up.
  20. Ilovedesign's avatar
I don't see the offer so I guess I'm not eligible?
    Crossbow's avatar
Not necessarily, please see my comment & screenshot here hotukdeals.com/com…978 about the recent Nectar deal I was not eligible for - no offer or banner was showing at any point.

A step by step guide you may find useful...
    1. When they post the live link on Wednesday, follow it to activate
    2. Once done, look in the Nectar section of your account to confirm ebay.co.uk/nec…ome - it may take a few mins/hours to show up there as activated. Once it shows there, move on to the next step...
    3. Add your item of £20 or more to the basket
    4. At this point, visit TCB / Quidco if you're a member & click through to eBay from either site after logging in
    5. Checkout & pay for the items in your basket now
    6. After payment has been fully processed, visit the Nectar section again at ebay.co.uk/nec…ome - the bonus should show up soon after, sometimes it can take several hours/days
    7. It could take up to 28 days to finally be added to your Nectar pts balance & become eligible to be converted into a voucher. (edited)
  21. tomtomato's avatar
Very complicated, and page on eBay is just for the Nectar programme, as opposed to this promotion.

If I win an auction tonight, and pay tomorrow, will I qualify?
    Crossbow's avatar
It is a bit, most explained here in point form hotukdeals.com/com…838
If you have any further questions, happy to answer them for you.
  22. Eptesicus's avatar
I'm guessing that this isn't giving more than the max points like the last one?
    Crossbow's avatar
That's right, a £300 spend always gets one max benefit, regardless of the Nectar deal - whether it's 1x (the standard rate), 10x, 20x, 30x or whatever multiples, as they won't pay out on any spend greater than that & capped at 9000pts (30x deals).

Great offer this! £12.50 of points grabbed up this morning
  25. Curt_Pye's avatar
    i activated, purchased something. 50012604-Ce1GG.jpg
but just states 48 points which is normal right? But when I go into the nectar section It doesn't show anything
  26. K_M20's avatar
Will this work if I buy 2 things that are more than £20 each, would I get points based on the basket total then?
    Mooney_70's avatar
No, only works with one item costing £20 or more excluding postage. Or multiple of the same item from the same seller. Again totalling £20 or more excluding postage. So your best just buying the most expensive item to get more points. Then buy the second item separately. (edited)

I really do like the eBay/nectar link up it has saved me a small fortune over the years.
  28. martinm1's avatar
No points earned due to excluded category. How do I know what's excluded until after purchase.
  29. Mooney_70's avatar
I remember that 50x nectar points power hour back in November 2021. I bought some wheel bearings for the car. So that made the purchase a bit more bearable.
  30. bcs1's avatar
I placed an order at 11:56pm which I can see on the ebay order info page, but it wasn't confirmed by ebay until 1 minute after midnight, so I've not received the bonus points.
