Assume return to China for warranty

I asked Amazon directly on Live Chat and they said they would make an exception after 30 days and I could return it if faulty. Some people say they had no issues and others say big problem have to ship to China. I asked Amazon and that's what the representative told me. Essentially telling me they'd make an exception for goods bought on a UK website, wasn't a great look. Anyway I am not buying it just wanted to try and clear up the status with RMA on this.

I suggest if anyone is worried all you need to do is add the item to your basket and apply the discounts, then go to Amazon Live Chat and tell the representative that you are thinking of buying the item in your basket, they have access to that data and then they will confirm it's the product you have in your basket then you can ask them about the warranty. This is exactly what I did and they told me the word exception, so that for me was red flag.

Here is a copy of the email they sent me after I spoke to them on Live Chat >

    "Hello,

I had a great time with you and a gesture of my care for my customer, this is to inform and extend my sincere appreciation for your kind understanding on our recently concluded conversation. It is with a happy heart to say that I had the privilege to converse with you even just in a short span of time.

For items sold by seller/Amazon and fulfilled by Amazon, our 30-day returns guarantee means that you can return an item to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received it.

If the item is defective after 30 days and the return window expired you can still contact us back and we can make a one time exception for you.

Our complete Returns Policy is set out on the Amazon.co.uk website. Read our Help pages for additional information about Returns and Refunds:

    amazon.co.uk/gp/…480

The returns policy offered by Marketplace Sellers/ Third party seller must be equivalent to or better than the returns policy offered by Amazon.co.uk. Items ordered via Amazon Marketplace are not directly fulfilled by Amazon. You can view the details of this policy by visiting the following URL:

I hope this helps. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

I've seen people on the aliexpress page for this drive report it dropping to 2.1gb max storage after multiple months of use but confusingly none of the amazon reviews report this.

The price for the 4tb option looks utterly ridiculous next to this on the page on the site

    Waiting for a 4tb Gen 4 drive (6000+ R/W) to get close to £210-£220 to replace my 2tb Gen 3 (3000+ R/W).
Shouldn't be waiting that long the way these prices are falling

Ridiculous price for this though, heat added.

There were 2 promotion boxes to tick that took it off in Checkout, didn't have to enter codes manually.

I’ve always been dubious about some SSDs, I usually get Samsung evo/pro for the much longer sustained high performance. What are these like? I mean like if I was to copy 500GB at a time sustained tbf, so the DRAM and SLC cache won’t help eventually right?

Law says Retailer for the first Year at least, by then we will be buying 8TB Drives so it doesn't matter.

    4TB version £450.99
    £444.85 for 5 x 2TB assuming promotions.

This will sit next to 3 x Samsung Pro M2 Drives in a Gigabyte X570 Master MB, it had better not let the side down.

They adjusted the price for the 2tb 195.99 for 30% off now becomes 132.79 so i reckon they made a mistake. Lucky for those who bought it tho! (edited)

Saw this before they pulled their misprice, but didn't pull the trigger as I've had a couple of problems with their USBs.

A few reviews on Amazon also doesn't instil confidence. Probably better to wait for those Kingston NVMEs to go back down to £105 - £115.

Oh wait, but I've also had issues with Kingston's SSD.

Nonetheless, I think I'd pay an extra £20-25.

Just installed this in my PS5, but can't replace the metal cover as the heatsink is too big. Works fine though
