    Amazon has price-matched.

Decent deal especially if you missed the 990 pro.

Seems like it's impossible to find a concensus on SSDs. It's an endless loop on HUKD. Drive A gets posted, someone says it's rubbish and drive B is better. Deal for Drive B is posted, someone says it's poor and Drive C is the best choice. Drive C is posted and someone says actually Drive A is the better option. Repeat cycle until Drive D appears to replace one of the others in the cycle.

    Pretty amusing, if unhelpful!

This isn't rubbish, this is decent, so is the Firecuda 530 and the WD850X. You can get all the details on techpowerup.com/ssd…cs/

Then you can check the NAND type, if the drive has DRAM or not and the endurance. You can also view the speed when cache is exhausted and the cache folding speed, you probably don't want to get into what is Cache Folding Speed as it gets quite technical other than bigger numbers for both metrics are better

You can expect to pay over £100 for a 2TB top performing PCIe 4.0 drive. China is bringing down the price further but there's less data about those drives and the spec is usually not as good.

    NAND Type
    DRAM
    Cache Exhaustion
    Endurance

Those are the main factors to consider. There's so many decent drives out there already, if you want the best performing you pay the most money, if you don't care or have a lower budget you can pay less and almost certainly won't notice the difference or significant as a general consumer.

Good price but I'd personally save £30 and go for the P41 for £85:

How does this compare to the Fanxiang S880 2TB that was up a few days ago? 7300MB read / 6300MB write, 1400TBW. (edited)

Would this need a heatsink if used in the PS5?

    It's advised, yes.
Pick up the Thermalright one on Amazon for £6, cheap but good (I've installed a few of them now).
