Another disc.

If you're on a package where you get x discs per month total, you'll get an extra disc.

If you're on an 'unlimited' package you get an extra disc on top of your 'at home' allowance. So if you're package is "3 dvd's at a time", then for the use of that credit you get "4 dvd's at a time". Each credit = 1 disc so after you return any of your 4, you're back to 3 discs.

They use these credits for many reasons, I got one on my birthday, and another last week for being with them for so long

Thanks. It says I've qualified. That means an easy way to do this without messing up your rental list is:
- set up a new list (eg 'Competition')
- Go to the list of recommended DVDs
- ensure the drop down at the top of the page is set to add titles to 'Competition'
- go down the list and click Rent on ten titles.

I have done and it shows i have qualified as i have added 10 titles but it is still showing the 2 rentals i have at a time. I thought i would now have 3??

edit. i emailed them about it and reply was "I can confirm that your FiLM Extra credit will be added in between 21 and 28 working days since you have added 10 titles"

Terms and Conditions

1. This promotion is only available to trialists or paying subscribers with LOVEFiLM and is not open to employees or contractors of LOVEFiLM or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the prize draw, or their direct families. 2. To enter the prize draw, simply add 10 or more extra titles to your rental list. You will then be entered into the prize draw automatically and one Film Extra credit will be added to your rental account. One entry per person per week. Adding a boxset counts as one title only. There will be four prize draws: one each week for an HDTV, three Blu-ray players and five portable DVD players. Prize Draws will be held on 3 August, 10 August, 17 August and 24 August. To be eligible for a draw, you must have added 10 or more extra titles to your rental list during the seven day period ending at midnight on the Sunday before each draw date. The end date for the promotion is 24 August 2009. 4. Each winner will be notified within 5 working days. Only the winner will be contacted personally. Each winner will be notified by email using the address and telephone number on the winner's LOVEFiLM account. If there has been no response from the originally selected winner after 30 days, the prize will be awarded to the reserves in consecutive order drawn at the time of original winner. Details of the winners will be available from LOVEFiLM after 24 August 2009 by writing to "The Big Summer Catch Up" at the address in paragraph 9. 5. No purchase necessary for residents of Northern Ireland. For the same chance of winning, NI residents can send their name and address to The Big Summer Catch Up, at the address in paragraph 9. 6. LOVEFiLM does not accept responsibility for late, lost, damaged or corrupted entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. The prize-draw winners will be selected at random by LOVEFiLM. LOVEFiLM's decision is final in every situation and no correspondence will be entered into. 7. The prizes are a LG 42" HDTV, a Samsung Blu-ray player, a Toshiba 7" portable DVD player. I've added the 10 titles, and it tells me i'm entered into the prize draw. But when do i get the rental credit? do i have to wait until after the prize draw?

I've created another list with no discs assigned and added ten titles to that. Not sure if that's qualified me for this offer. How would I be notified that it's worked? Would something pop up on screen?

Can you apply the filmextra credit to a certain list. I have one for movies and one for games, currently 2 discs assigned to movies and one to games. Could I say make sure that the credit goes onto games so I will have 2 and 2?

Yes, if you want to watch other DVDs not already on your list.

You can even add one film, remove it, and repeat ten times. You still qualify for the extra disk.

I was just wondering how long the additional credit lasts? I've had a quick skim through the terms and conditions but can't see anything regarding the duration. So I'm assuming it lasts forever?

So make sure they are titles you want to rent and keep them in your list, presumably until after that week's draw.

You have to remove the ones you already have on your list, then sign up to the competition, then re-add the titles you deleted :thumbsup:

Looks like they might make people wait three weeks before you get the credit. I've not got any extra credit yet, despite qualifying.

I got my extra rental today, have clicked to accept it, but can't assign it to a given list. Still can't grumble for free!!!

I have just got my free credit. I am concerened that it may be just 1 free disc rather than a month of an extra disc. (i usually have 2 at a time (unlimited). I hope it is not just one disc, one off, rather than letting me have 3 unlimited.

its just a one off one extra disk - when you then return any disk after taking the credit you return to your normal allocation.

Although with this promotion you can get 4 extra so you you will be able to keep adding them for a while . . .

Oh , i read that i would get unlimited 3 discs rather than 2 unlimited if i did this.

Did people get their free rentals? I qualified four weeks running, but haven't got a single one of them. I am on a trial account at the moment.

I qualified for all four weeks but only got one credit which I used two weeks ago. Got a credit today but I assume that its for the Muller promotion I completed this morning.

******s, now I've a list full of films I don't particularly want to see. Will have to weed through the list and remove them now :x
