Hello danielle,

Thank you for contacting GumtreeDeals support. That is correct. £5 paid right now, and £15 added to your PayPal account. Once you received the voucher, please follow the instructions for next steps.

WARNING - This thread contains a lot of people who do not understand the term "on or around", so they are getting their knickers in a twist. It's rather quite funny.

God bless the British education system!

Looks like the monies are going into Paypal accounts without an email being sent out (as yet)

Check your paypal accounts if you're worried because you haven't seen an email come in.

Ordered thanks.

I don't understand? I buy a £5 voucher and the give £15. Does it have to spent on Gumtree deals or can I spend it anywhere?

Thanks just ordered one

Also ordered one, thanks OP.

It says that your account is credited on or around November 10th, not sure if we need to do anything else before then.

EDIT: I see there is a link to follow to claim the credit later

so we get 15£ for 5£ ? Too good to be true.

If you have to spend the £5 on a gumtree deal, do they ever have any deals for a fiver? And do they get better deals than they have on at the moment because they are all rubbish or irrelevant to me.

EDIT: Ok I see the current deals will expire in 18hrs. Hopefully I will find a decent deal in the next 2 weeks, so I can redeem the voucher.

according to the T&C if you don't spend the £15 voucher you get a refund from Paypal for the original purchase price - looks like this is a win / win (cant lose deal)

Do i have to use it to shop ? Or i can withdraw it to my Bank account from paypal ?

Must be redeemed by 3 November 2011.
Limit 1 per person; £15 will be paid into PayPal account on or around 10 November 2011 (7 days after end of redemption period); A valid PayPal e-mail address and account in good standing is needed to complete the purchase; Vouchers must be redeemed online at gumtreedeals.com/paypal before the expiry date; Voucher holders who do not redeem their offers before the expiry date will be entitled to a refund equivalent to their initial purchase. Please visit the above link after the expiry date for directions on how to claim your refund; This voucher is sold by PayPal and by purchasing it you agree to these Voucher Terms and Conditions with PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. Further PayPal terms of use may also apply. These PayPal Voucher Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts; the PayPal Privacy Policy, Gumtree Daily Deals’ Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy also apply; In the event of any conflict between the Gumtree Daily Deals’ Terms and Conditions and these PayPal Voucher Terms and Conditions, these PayPal Voucher Terms and Conditions will prevail; Cannot be used by an eBay Inc. employee.

How does this work with the PayPal debit card? You can use that anywhere, so I wonder if it will work with it?

You have to spend the initial £5 voucher at gumtree. The £15 voucher can be spent anywhere online that accepts paypal.

Its clearly written........£15 at any online merchant supporting Paypal

Sounds good

where i gumtree deals , how can i spend 5 pound on gumtree deal, link pls

Can you 'gift' a voucher to yourself, after buying the initial one?!

Only one card per deal...i dont have more......

I like free money, cheers! Hot from me.

Is eBay considered an on-line merchant?

"yeah i bought this awesome ________ because I got it for 66% less!!!"

"do you need one?"

AMAAMAMAMAMAMAMMAMAZZZZZIIIINNNNNGGGG!!!!!!!!!! What a deal!

Smokin Hot!!!

basically. u pay a fiver to gumtree deals, and paypal will give you 15 back (spend anywhere that accepts paypal payment ).

this is hot! thanks OP

What happens after I buy?

When the deal unlocks you will receive an email with your receipt confirmation & Voucher. The "Voucher" is the voucher you will need to redeem the deal. Your receipt will include instructions regarding printing and redeeming your Voucher. If the deal does not reach minimum requirements within the time period, your credit card is not charged.

so you have to hope they sell an x amout of these vouchers to get the deal

Ordered, thanks.

so we get 15£ for 5£ ? Too good to be true.

Things that seem too goo to be true usually are.

I wonder why you have to wait so long for the voucher, 10th November is a long way off.

I bought 2. Two paypal accounts in the household. I wonder if I bought another with another card if I could apply 2 to one account. It says one per customer but I don't know where they will be doing the check. Worth a gamble?

Too confusing .... i just bought one and will see what happens! Free money has to be hot ... doesnt it?

Just bought one, many thanks OP:p

Possibly to manually check that there is only one voucher per customer. Paypal take forever to do ANYTHING. They also do it because £15 is worth less in three weeks than it is today.

I think they will sell the minimum amount. Front page of HUKD basically saying "FREE MONEY!" should spark some interest.

Limit of one per person yet I can add multiple into my account. As I have access to around 5 paypal accounts, could I add one to each account and "buy" something off the main account and end up with £75 for the cost of £25?!

Sounds to good to be true, but grabbed one anyway...

cheers!
