Looks solid but it's tiny. Will not be easy to lock the bike to a hoop or lamp post.

Where possible I like to put a U-lock through the frame and rear wheel to secure the bike to a rack or post. Stops people nicking your rear wheel.

This won't manage that, but there must be a reason people buy them - needing the lower weight or whatever.

You can also purchase through Chainreactioncycles - same code can be used and costs less (£24.79)

Sure I got a diamond rated on guard for less than this from Amazon

Thanks. Just been looking for one. I own long Kryptonite and need a second one that is not the same (more chances the thief will not have tools to open different locks).

    What is TopCashback? (edited)

I think an angle grinder will open both in exactly the same way and on the same battery charge.

I have this, good as a lock for a quick release front wheel. Worth getting something a bit longer for the back

I find a 15mm galvanised chain with a good padlock works OK.
It seems to deter them in another way as well, somehow?

Solid and light lock at a good price. Replaces my kryptonite classic dlock which was too heavy to carry everywhere. Thanks op.

Can you get the wheel, frame and anchor in one go or just the frame and anchoring point?
I got quick-release wheels so need something long enough but not too long and heavy.

Why do they call it Abus, because thieves will cut it forcing you to get A-bus?!

Essential if on the south coast.
Bikes are the first thing the rubber boat invaders will grab to get further inland.

Can't you chase them away with rolled up tabloids?

We should be angry of those in yachts that have stolen billions and offshored it, continue to rip us off with their energy bill buddies than people in rubber boats

Thanks, this will work for the bike racks at work, people get quite annoyed if you have a big lock that gets in their way so it'll keep the passive aggressive coworkers at bay!

I like ABUS but this one is too small. It has to be at least 23 cm long to have some locking options.
The standard one is double the price so I went (as somebody recommended here) with OnGuard Pitbull 8005 that cost 27 quid on Amazon atm.

Other options like Kryptonite are in around £40 range.

    Rember guys!
There is no point in using a cable lock.
The minimum should be a 'D', 'U' Locks or a chain.
Do not overpay for the New York, heavy and expensive stuff, they all be cut with an angle grinder in less than 30 seconds.

If you want something that can't be easily defeated by an angle grinder, research Litelock and HipLock. They are £150 and £250 respectively.
