Get out and about and start seeing the world from a different perspective, with the compass. The high tensile steel frame makes it both strong and responsive. That means you can focus on the world around you as you make your way to work or out on a leisurely cycle. It has alloy rims, V type brakes to help you stop quickly and effectively and 6 speed power gearing.

With a power RD-25 rear derailleur you can change gears smoothly and quickly. That's one less thing to worry about.

The low stepover frame makes mounting and dismounting a doddle. So, you can easily get on, get going and get off again afterwards. For more information, please see the instruction manual and assembly guidelines below.

Best type of cheap bike, very simple, no suspension and 1x gearing. The sort of bike most amateur bike mechanics can handle. Easy to keep on the road and safe. Definitely no performance bike though. What I don't understand is why they don't fit a mega-range freewheel to such bike. The 1x gearing would be much better with a 14-34T freewheel for hills. Apart from that not a lot to criticise.

You could pay this for a single visit to a bike mechanic for a puncture nowadays. Hot

Oil the chain, keep the tyres pumped up and it'll be a cheap way to get about the local area.

Quite a lot of 1★ reviews, mostly saying poor quality

While the quality is basic I do think that the bike building skills of the average person only paying £110 could also be a factor. I can't speak for this specific bike but I had a Challenge road bike that I set up myself as a budget gravel/ trail bike with bigger tyres and suspension post (as I upgraded my main bike to a carbon framed Ribble). I am no expert but I took a bit of time on the gears and it ran smoothly enough.

I tried to help somone I know who bought this get it into a decent state. It had to go back.

    Front hub was grinding already.

Seatpost clamp could not be done up enogh to stop seat post sliding back in.

And the brakes... the angle that the cable goes through is just stupid.
