Someone had to post it. I can guarantee you I could get into it without even breaking anything, or using tools & I am not a pro. (edited)

Youtube videos of these being accessed in seconds. Don't bother. Get a police approved one.

Buy 30, fix them all over the house and only you know which one has the real key inside. No burglar is going to bother then

Security footage would be pretty good though. Like a challenge in "I'm a burglar, get me in here"

There is no way I could sleep in my bed at night knowing that my front door key is stored in one of these! Potentially voiding your household insurance too ...

Actually is does not, as there are many carers that use them for access to older folks houses. So they are actually covered as long as they are secured to a house wall.

None of these lock safes are particularly good. You can have any of them open with a hammer and a screwdriver in a few seconds, and not much longer with your subtle and pick them.

That said, if you have the kind of burglar thats going to use a hammer and screwdriver they could just as easliy be through the door anyway

Printing "Amazon Basics" on the outside of a Key Lock Box is asking for trouble. (edited)

Buy a plant pot and leave your key under it

So much negativity in here. My amazon basics parachute works fine so far, and is easy to return if it does fail to open.

People who really want to will get into/open this if they try hard enough. Maybe you could put it on the back door (or in a place that’s not so conspicuous/visible) as next to the front door. Just a thought.

I wouldn't put it next to the front door but if its out of sight it's better than leaving a key under a flower pot. Ideal for leaving a key when you go on holiday or for older people who can't answer the door

I wouldn’t hide a piece of cheese in it from a mouse

No need to if you forget to spin the numbers anytime it's unattended as they'll just read it and pop back when you're out.

The push button type that you take inside with the key are by far the best (Yale)

You might as well hang your key on the outside or leave your door unlocked. You can literally open these in seconds, a Supra C500 is costly but it conforms to standard LPS1175 issue 8 A5 the standard that’s required for double glazing and front doors
