Cooking Guidelines

Oven cook - From Chilled:

  • 200°C, 400°F, Fan 180°C, Gas 6 30-35 Mins
  • Remove all packaging. Not suitable for cooking in the bag.
  • Preheat your oven.
  • Brush the chicken with oil and season with salt and pepper (optional).
  • To seal the meat and lock in its flavour and juices, preheat your frying pan over a medium heat and carefully place the chicken in the dry pan for 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Transfer to an ovenproof dish, spread the portions out evenly and cook in the preheated oven for a further 25-30 minutes, turning twice.
  • To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, insert a skewer into the thickest part of the meat. If the juices run clear, not pink, it is fully cooked through.
  • Not suitable for microwave cooking.
  • Check product is piping hot before serving.
  • Do not reheat.
  • For tenderness and succulence cover with foil and allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes after cooking.

We have given you these cooking instructions as a guide only.

That's pretty cheap. Ill have to have a look in Asda. I bought some chicken from Tescos yesterday. It's all costing more now so this is a great deal. What I also noticed was I would always buy cooked frozen meat which you get in Tescos/Iceland. Crazy thing is.... Fresh meat is now cheaper than the frozen stuff. Mental!

Those are frozen ones, the ones posted are fresh, maybe they're temporary out of stock for grocery delivery, things always go in and out of stock depending on sales levels and what stock will be coming in, but they'll likely be in store, subject to stock of course. (edited)

Yes. There's a great big union Jack on the top, and the blurb says reared by "trusted British farmers."

Im personally not a fan of the new bags. They always seem slimey. Prefer a tray,
