M&S Food rarely disappoints, bit more expensive but easy to see what you are paying the extra money for.

I don't see the quality these days. Got the lamb boulanger recently, it was awful. Looked like a pile of vomit with a handful of fatty lamb thrown in. I can put you onto a couple of farm shops, absolute different planet for quality and similar prices, one of the, less expensive (edited)

I can't help wondering if those who are slating this have actually tried M&S food? I used to think that M&S was an expensive brand but I changed my mind a few months ago. Loafs of bread just 1p more expensive than Lidl but taste way better and last longer. Salad ingredients actually cheaper than Lidl. I have to factor in a 14 mile round trip for M&S but if I'm over that way, it spells good value for money to me!

Nope: 2 piri piri HALF chicken = 1 chicken (worth £5 or £6 max', before being cut in half).

You're then paying over the top prices for the 4 portions of cheese

M&S are pretty rubbish in Northern Ireland. We get very limited offers from them. This one is not available here.

I was so (not) worried when they had a tantrum and threatened to close here.

They can't really compete with local food quality here anyway. (edited)

We seem to never get the chicken deals anymore - suppliers?

their dine in selection is also usually quite poor now.

I got this yesterday, I got 2 x half chickens, 1 x coleslaw 1 x (4) corn on the cobs 1 x spicy rice and 1 x chilli herb peas.. I thought that was a lot of food for £15 but maybe I’m just comparing it to the exact Nando’s platter you can get for £49.95 (!) all looks and smells divine.

For this today. Half chicken good size for 2. Chicken burgers. Chips with peri peri salt. Halloumi fries. Spicy rice.
Came to £13.76 with sparks card. So not quite £13 on the nose. But not complaint. Would have paid £15. (edited)
