If you could do hardwire backhaul - cheap little system.

Indeed. I did this couple years ago to finally solve my ring door bell connection.

    Been happy with it.

I have this, I bought the double pack off ebay a few months ago. These are the cheapest ASUs 160mhz Wi-Fi 6 mesh system I could find, they hold up well! I have a 500mb virgin line, before I backhauled I got about 250-300mb out of these devices. With the back haul I get 450mb.

You can dig into some actual user reviews though for this.

These are terrible - former owner and former ASUS router fan-boy (like 6 models in a row)

What about AX-59U? It is new and would like to buy it. I’d like to get your opinion.

I have the nest wifi pro. It's pretty good. No idea if this Asus one is good or not.

Could someone please explain the purpose/benefit of these? Do they strengthen or speed up connection?

I have a small house so not in need or any kind of range extenders, but any improvements to speed etc would be great
