You can get a pair of Deco x60 AX5400 for just £15 more from amazon. Better range, better bandwidth, better app, better free features and better privacy policy.

I tested out the Eero Pro 6 and returned them for the Deco for reasons above. I'm saying this an I literally work for Amazon (edited)

I had the exact opposite experience. The deco were JUNK. I’m in a very large apartment (I.e. all floor space on same level) and these were flawless vs Deco the worst of all that I tried.

I would really like the Eero units. But I read their privacy policy. Was so put off that I wouldn’t touch it.
Update. If you search on Google for Eero Privacy Policy you can find lots of articles about why it’s bad.
But I just noticed they updated it last Sept and it appears to have been improved. May need a thorough reread before Amazon Prime Day. (edited)

When I was previously a Talktalk subscriber, they partnered with Amazon. There were promos with a full year with prime free + broadband bundle. I'm not sure if that yielded a considerable turnover of new prime customers after the first year. Then, what followed was the eero Talktalk branded routers.

I was having issues trying to configure port forwarding on my eero device. I reached out directly to the Amazon eero team for support, splendid support by the way. I was cheeky to the point I asked what Amazon was getting out of the deal. The response I got was that was not for me to know, understandable.

Unless someone has just come out of 10 year coma, it is known that 'data is key'. Some companies are pulling no punches to get that holy grail data. Like seriously, people should follow your example by reading privacy/terms and conditions of companies. I have no words where to even begin.

It's not hard to see their intention of using Talktalk to increase their reach pseudo directly to the customers.

I believe all units can function as master and repeater.

Thinking about switching back to Eero from Google WiFi. Having had Tenda, Eero and Google I can whole heartedly say that the Google units are terrible. Constant drop outs across all of the units. I never had a single drop out from the Tenda or Erro ones.

Edit, this will be just as good for 99% of people, if not better (more coverage due to the three units) and it's half the price.

Deal: Mercusys AC1900 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System, Coverage up to 6,000 ft² (550 m²), Connect over 100 Devices, Full Gigabit Ports, Dual Band Wi-Fi, Easy App Control, Halo H50G(3-pack) amzn.eu/d/j…Bfs

Almost tempted to replace the unifi but I need the PoE, shame those aren't cheaper

You can get POE adapters which will inject power on a specific cable. Or you can get a POE switch and run your POE items from that.

Does anyone really struggle the days? Internet speeds over 100mb are common and most routers have decent range.

    Yes

Put a Deco 6E system in recently and it’s excellent to add another option if anyone’s considering, great value and easy to set the 3 units up.

Take it this is basically a repeater for the eero ?

No, this is two Eero routers.

I expected one to be a repeater only, but actually looks like two routers are provided.

These need an update or something. Worked excellently well previously but now, it seems the extra points do nothing but reduce the speed overall. 500mbps at the one plugged to the fibre box, 350mbs upstairs. Plug in an extra one upstairs and started getting 120mbps. Removed it, back to 300mbps. Strange.

The UI on eero is not good.

You have to manually add devices to profiles, rather than setting a default for all devices.

Eg if you want to add parental controls you have to manually add every device to a specific profile.
    Arbo6's avatar
Thats a shame - same as my Deco X60. Seems annoying that guests and new users bypass the parental controls unless you manually add them to the lists...

Looks ok but there's a few features I use right now on my deco that with the eero you have to pay a monthly fee for. Disappointing

We had a nightmare when we first moved to Talktalk. The Internet signal dropped out from our LG tv several times every day requiring us to log back in again which was incredibly annoying. Talktalk replaced our first Eero device but the second was no better. Both the Eero device and our TV have since received several updates and everything appears to be working as they should. These problems are all reported on the Internet. So if anyone buys one of these and encounters the same problem, you won't be able to fix it yourself, you just have to be patient

Didn't even realise Talktalk were still going.

The Eero units we terrible, worst that the BT Whole Home discs I had that kept disconnecting.

Ended up on Asus ZenWifi XD5 and they are rock solid
  14. paulj48's avatar
I have one of these supplied with my Talktalk fibre connection, be aware they only have 2 RJ-45 ports compared with the normal 4 or 5 on other routers. They also charge an extra £10 subscription for some of the features.
  15. marrieddaz's avatar
    Works with Virgin broadband?
    John_Mason's avatar
They will work with any router with an RJ45 Ethernet connection.

Cannot rate these highly enough. I bought 5 different systems from Amazon to evaluate them all and these were the best by far. 100/100

Is this the latest WiFi 6e technology; if not, is there much disadvantage to not having it?

Not that great a price for it being PRIME DAY and the discount percent is misleading… seeing the 3 pack RRP is 299 and also on prime offer even if that’s just the lightning deal (or maybe it was an early prime deal, not sure) that’s been on since June 29 or something like that at glance. Was hoping for the 3 Pack to be even lower, the price is okay but not really super special either. (edited)

    What's better 3Pack eero 6+ or 2pack eero Pro 6? (edited)
