I missed out on this deal last time, and had it in wish list. Noticed it has gone down to the same price as the last deal.

Hope this helps someone.

    Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Amazon is listed in the applicable retailers, even though the icon is not there on the main link.

Managed to pick up the XT8 2 pack off Amazon for £200 recently (most likely a misprice).

Brilliant reliable routers with strong coverage, I imagine these are better.

I can only imagine the issues others have had was fixed with firmware updates since. (edited)

Wow...when was this?! Can't believe I missed it. The XT8 and 9 are very similar in terms of spec I believe, and at that price, it makes sense to go for the XT8s.

I rate these. Seem very reliable (whereas I had problems with the XT8).

Good to hear. I had to return our XT8 system about 2 years ago as well due to issues.

These seem to be some of a handful of routers (including the XT8) that use the UNII-4 (5.9Ghz) backhaul so I am hoping this works well for us. Been trying out so many different systems and hope this will be the one that works for us.

Would this be enough in a 3 bed/2 storey new build?

My issue is the fibre comes in via the front door, so currently I have a BT disc (Black not white version) set up in the living room with a ethernet switch running to my PS5, NAS and Nvidia Shield, and another disc upstairs in the spare bedroom/home office.

So in theory I will replace BT hub with one by the front door, and put the other in the living room for wired connections via the switch, so will I get ok coverage in the rest of the house?

Looking to move onto EE Fibre 500 in the next month

This should be sufficient for your needs, depending on the length/width/internal wall material.

Just make sure that EE allows the use of 3rd party routers before you purchase this. Not all ISPs allow modem mode, so the connection may be a bit more complicated.

Worst case scenario - if it does not work for you, just return it to Amazon within the 30-day window. I've returned multiple routers within the window as I am yet to find one I am happy with that gives me the full or near full 1 gig that I am paying for. Hoping that this one will work well.

Just cannot find the sweet spot for a hard-wired mesh - the TP-Link currently on a deal is Wifi 6e but does not have enough ports for my set-up. This has enough ports but not wifi 6e.

If you have a hardwired backhaul, there is no point in getting a tri-band system. Just save saving some money and get a dual-band solution.

Keep putting these in and out of my basket... Do I really need it as my BT black discs work ok AFAIK, but upgrading to 500ml service next week, so should I get something better to take advantage around the house...
