sorted bylegal in Europe etc or you are in a convoy, programmable and have ctcss. The antennas are pretty naff so swap them out for some decent ones and it’ll extend the range/reception.
Used at a rural music festival in Portugal where there was no mobile phone signal and not much in the way of obstacles other than some trees.
Found them disappointing range wise (much less than 1km - maybe 500m?) and also lots of other people on all the channels who had the same idea as us, including the security staff!
One inside the house and the other in a car.
