    I just upgraded to this from the Garmin Venu (and previously FR235) and it is an incredible running watch. If you've been considering it and weighing up vs the 255 - just go for it, it's ace.

    It’s a really interesting point with the fenix and this model. One is twice the price yet doesn’t have as many of the features of the lower priced watches

    Completely appreciate it’s mainly a ‘Running’ watch but does anyone know if the 265 has a Golf’ mode built into it? Deliberating between purchasing this or the Forerunner 965 from my Vivoactive 4. Thanks in advance!

    No golf - you’ll need the FR465 for that

    Biggest problem for me is the size 46mm is waaay too big for my wrists, and Garmin wisely decided to downgrade the 255s to a 1.1" display with gigantic bezel.

    I'm guessing you mean 265s? Looking at the specs, the physical dimensions and screen diameter are both 4.4mm smaller.

    So the bezel on the smaller version isn't any bigger but I suppose relative to the size it's more noticeable.
