Great price. There's a rumour that the 255/955 will be released 1st June, might give us some good deals on the 245 and 55.

Nice price. I bought one of these for ~£95 around Black Friday last year. Perfectly cromulent little watch. Battery life wasn't stellar, but for an entry level and/or occasional use device, I think it does the job really well.

These are a great size for a junior runner who is keen.

Note, active display diameter is only 26mm so it's quite small. Nice and bright outside but dull inside.

I have FR45 which is the same watch but with a slightly bigger face. It is an excellent watch for the money but the face isn't exactly huge and I haven't got thick wrists for a man. Provided that they arrive in decent condition then you won't be disappointed by this but I would go for the FR45 if you can get it at the same price.

Thanks for the post OP. My current watch holds me back, and I'm sick of it.

That's awesome progress pal, keep it up! 2lbs is the upper limit for sustainable weight loss so don't worry too much if it eventually slows down and just trust the process. All about the long term progress over short-term metrics. Oh definitely, it's a great addition to the fitness lifestyle, I use my 245 for gym sessions/badminton/running/hiking. You can set different activities in the app and select them before you start your session to track calories, heart rate etc. Also love the smart features like notifications (e.g. whatsapp) and controlling the music playing on my phone quickly and without looking (play/pause/skip track etc). If you ever give running a try you'll find these are great for that (realistically it's their primary goal compared to other smartwatches but I like them for general use). I did C25K during lockdown and my watch (and syncing to strava) was a godsend!

Thank you for the info. I am currently eating 600 calories below my TDEE which is as 2,000/ day. 1 stone down over 7 weeks, roughly averaging 2lbs a week fat loss! I do Weight lifting 4-5 times per week, hitting 180-200g protein! I thought at the price of £55 this Garmin would just give me a little motivation and slight info, even if not 100% accurate!

Should do sleep but I find Garmin sleep info hit or miss. Will also do steps. This will do calories per day as well as "active calories" on top from exercise you log. As part of your profile creation on the Garmin app you give it your height/weight to help it work that out. But realistically I cannot recommend using watch as main source of calorie info. For the purposes of weight loss, use a "calorie calculator" site and then if you don't get results after a week of calorie deficit then slowly increase the deficit. I'd recommend reading the guide in the sidebar of the subreddit r/loseit. I've lost 45kg in two years using the basic concept of CICO and being mindful of calories going in. Best of luck!

I bought a couple of Garmin's from this seller before. One watch arrived near perfect and the other had quite a scratch on the watch face which the seller kindly gave some money off. But found out that the watch arms go out of sync constantly so doesn't even tell the time, which apparently needs a warranty replacement but you have no warranty on eBay purchases with Garmin. :(

I'm inclined to agree with you. Garmin have so many different flavours of Fenix 6, it is quite difficult to tell which is which. All Sapphire editions include the pro features but the solar models don't, unless they specifically say they do. It is much the same with the Fenix 7 series with so many different editions. I suppose Garmin figure that, if you are thinking of spending that sort of money on a watch then you will take the time to do your research.

sossidge

why don’t Garmin call it 6S pro, if it includes all Pro features?

I seem to remember that you had one cancelled last time. Can't understand why they haven't been banned from here yet.
