This is a new watch but is the previous model. The new model is selling for £6,500.

This previous model has a ceramic bezel and I prefer the watch face and second hand over the new model. Movements are similar, the new model has been slightll improved.

Good price for new, so heat from me.

But if you're not precious about new. They have this minter on Chrono24. Price is negotiable. So I suspect they would come down from the £3800 asking. Might be a good way to save even further for those that don't mind preowned, plus you get the leather strap as well as the SS bracelet.

I'm not looking to bash this deal or any other of the countless expensive watch deals. But can someone please explain to me what makes them worth the price?
What makes a £5000 watch worth so more than a £100 watch.?
I'm serious I have no clue as to the reason for the massive prices.

I've just been looking through your previous comments, and you have been pretending to be baffled by watch prices for quite some time, so hopefully nobody will take you on today.

To be fair, you found the time to share one deal in 15 years, so nobody can question your contributions to the site

Ask for Mo near the ice cream shop, tell him I sent you.
He has limited edition Rolex seamaster, will give you best price

Aliexpress have "identical" watches for less than £100, no Omega branding obviously, and usually NH35 Seiko inside so you will probably have to reset the time once a week but reliability is likely on a par with Omega who don't have that good a rep in the used market.

Yup absolutely no difference between an omega and an aliexpress special brew.....

Lovely watch although I'd be hoping to negotiate a slightly larger discount in-store - this is a great base to start from though

You'd have absolutely no chance - they'll sell out of this model at this price, especially with 30 months 0% available.

Apple Watch is so much better than this and CHEAPER! (edited)

Apple Watch is not a real watch, it’s a device.

Blimey bought this in 2017 for £1900 (full price was £2900 then)

Are you sure that's not a Railmaster? They do look kinda similar, but that would explain the prices you mention.

For me personally, Omega keep churning out new editions every couple of years, which is a turn off.

If you want the best example of a vintage Seamaster, try to find the "Trilogy" edition. It came out a few years ago but is a recreation of the first Seamaster from 1957 - a real beauty!

Nice looking watch, although I prefer divers with crown guards

Lovely watch. I was lucky enough to get the Co-ax version for £5 less, earlier on in the year. Only thing is that it was the leather strap version.

I know what you mean,I was told a while back to always go with the bracelet you can always swap out and get different later.

Presumably meant to be inoffensive to the least number of people & office friendly, but oyster style bracelets on Omega & Rolex etc make me want to yawn.

    Gorgeous watch!
I just found a used one on eBay with a titanium body and brand new leather straps for close to this price.

    ebay.co.uk/itm…OPY

Anyone know if this is a good deal?
Really tempted to put an offer in, but not sure which is better… new steel one or used titanium?

Would go new mainly for the metal bracelet.
They cost a fortune later down the road if you decide to have one fitted

Not a fan of watches that are made to look old , the flat linked bracelet case design ezel hands are all nice .but why made the lume look dated :/ guess the watch would work with green lume .rant over , id probably get it more if i had the watch on wrist. (edited)
    jaffamuffin's avatar
Cool story. What watch r u a afan of?, for example
