About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Not a deal for everyone but pretty good for the serious DIY mechanic or the Pro. Halfords Industrial Tool Chests are very good quality & worth the money at this price. The six drawer industrial cabinet (£349.99) and the six drawer industrial chest (£259.99) are currently available on offer for a combined price of £269.99. This includes an additional 10% discount which is valid until midnight on Christmas day. Add both items to your basket & the price will adjust. The best offer I have seen previously was around £360 for both items. In addition to this you should get 3.5% Quidco. The offer is available for Reserve & Collect or Free Home Delivery.

sorted byBut a question if anyone will know the answer.......the extra 10% off ends tonight.
Will this apply in-store tomorrow??
Most of these reserve and collect you pay the price on the day you collect? Or do Halfords take the price you reserved?
Just wondering that myself...would be a shame to go & collect & then find the discount is no longer applicable. If noone can answer this before midnight, it may be worth taking advantage of the free delivery to ensure the discount will be applied.
How sad are we eh...looking at tool chests on Christmas day! Lol.
Merry Christmas.
.....i shall just quote this is theres any problem!
"Products ordered or reserved online are always available at the online price. So by using this service, you will always be able to take advantage of any online discounts that apply."
If not, I may opt for delivery as these are big heavy units that I suspect will not easily fit in the average hatchback having looked at the dimensions & weights.
Ive tried the whole trade card discount & offer prices before and it wont work.
Using the Trade Card takes the price to full retail price with no offers, then they give you the trade discount price, which on these is not much!
Hence me snapping this offer up, as mentioned the black ones never come down cheap lol
I was guessing that would probably be the case, thanks for confirming.
I have also never seen the Industrial range come down so much either so I think I'm going to treat myself and finally have the majority of my tools in the same place although the value of the cabinet will more than likely exceed the value of my tools! lol.
They've sold for more than the new price on ebay for used boxes. If you want something that'll last decades, these are the ones.
I'm half tempted to buy a pair as backup boxes.
This seems to be reasonably common, you'd think they'd package them better.
Lucky i reserved at 2 different stores. My local one had a decent lower but the top box they tried to fob me off with the display one, was bent, scratched and dented! :@
So off i went to the second store, much more helpfull in there. Manager opened up the boxes to show me, perfect
Helped me get them in the car and all sorted
Looks like the £299 deal continues......worth grabbing the extra 10% though yesterday.
Anyone else have issues?
£10 off each without even asking.
Great service, when I asked to view them the guy said "I take it you've bought these before"
He also said that they were full price again? £250 top £350 bottom.
Unfortunately as soon as I managed to unload the first 57kg box by myself, I noticed that it was a Professional cabinet & not the Industrial chest & had a resevation slip attached that was for another customer! I returned to the shop with just 10 minutes to spare before closing and the staff couldn't aplogise enough & eventually managed to find the correct box which they kindly loaded into the car, this time allowing the boot to close as the correct chest was smaller at 38kg.
Both units are now sitting boxed in my hallway. The boxes are sealed & in good condition so I am hoping that there will be no damage to the units.
The only thing that made me feel better was that the reservation paperwork attached for the other person showed a price of £275 for the Professional chest & cabinet when I had just paid slightly less for the superior Industrial items. By the looks of it though, this customer was given my Industrial cabinet with the Professional chest, so he did ok apart from the difference in colour!
Was offered display unit which had missing keys for 200 notes. That'll do nicely thanks.
The include display stock as part of the normal stock which is silly.
I had the same today apart from they wouldnt knock any money off at all, plus im really picky on dents/scratches!
Glad everyone managed to get sorted, was worth doing. Also they have continued the deal (all be it without the extra 10% off now) so its £299 for both....
There are quite a few indentations which I am not too happy about so I will bring this to Halfords attention. Has anyone attempted to lift the chest by the side handles? I began to do so but the sides started to flex & I didn't want to dent the sides so I picked it up from underneath.
With regards to the drawer liners, did anyone get a liner for the tray under the lid?
The indentations on the sides i think are actually mounting points behind the panels. Mine has them also....
I had to get them out the car myself!
Was really heavy lol, managed to get them out and down the side of the house to assemble.
After i put the handle on and wheels i tried to lift it up by the handle, it didnt make very nice noises lol but supported the other side so wasnt too bad. Probably not the best design for it.
Its not a bad unit for what i want, doesnt match the quality of any of my dads Snap On stuff lol.
Ive not had a look at how many liners there are, will check later. Although all the display units i saw didnt have any in the top one.
