Sadly my first pair broke within the first 6 months (more like by the 3rd month IIRC) and the palaver to get them replaced under warranty was ridiculous (They wanted photos of the headset from different angles with a signed and dated note in the background. Took over a month for the replacements to arrive (which were refurbs, not new) - but I had to sign up to their Discord channel for updates as there are still no other methods of communication!)
The 7.1 feature can only be used in "USB mode" - if you connect the headphones directly via the 3.5mm jack you lose the "audio processor" (ie the 7.1 bit), which is not necessarily a bad thing as it picks up pops and clicks from the USB path. The 3.5mm cable part is fixed and quite short. I will concede that they are very comfortable though
I am also going to be submitting a warranty claim on the replacement pair as the same thing is happening - the cable is twisting and deformed audio is starting to cut out as a result.
