Credit to the original poster, item now back in stock at AO for next day delivery go go go

£199 and oos

Couldn't believe how good the service was with AO when I ordered a DualShock 4 last week. Free next day delivery, text updates at every stage.. even got a voicemail from the driver saying he was looking forward to delivering my parcel! Blimey!

I did try searching for the original post on a very antiquated iPhone, unfortunately during which the item was OOS, and I expired the post. I’ve got far more important things to be doing than referencing one post to another post on an expired deal. But please, if it makes you happy, feel free to do it yourself

The more immersive a VR system is, the more likely your brain and eyes are going to be convinced by what's going on and therefore confused by the lack of motion as experienced by your body and ears. Therefore, a lack of nausea points to a lack of immersion, not a "superior quality".

About time!! He deserves to live a little in his old age, after the amount of abuse he got in the last 10 years (#WENGER OUT#) from his own fans. I 8-2 say this but I feel sorry for Arsene Wenger because he should’ve popped the question few years earlier in 2015. I think that’s when he should’ve left with no European cup or league cups in his trophy cabinet and 6million a year for 20 odd years you can say he had a luxury life. Everything comes to an end someday, he will be forgiven for looking for 4th place cup for 15 odd years but his legacy will not be forgotten being the first French (European) Manager to go a whole season unbeaten (thanks to that Van Nistelrooy penalty miss) in 2003. Not to forget he was the man to bring the passing game and foreign inputs to the English game and destroy the English league records naming no English players in his first 11 and 5 subs (16 man squad) that is. Kudos great man and manager deserved to leave on a high let’s hope for his sake they win the Europa League and end his last year, his last season, his last game with the only trophy(s) missing from his CV. Thanks for reading my thoughts and views on the special one.

Did anyone get the master key for the games? just had a fairly heated exchange with amazon CS over them not emailing me yesterday when they promised, it seems today they are hiding behind the t&c saying it’s up to Intel. amazon CS rep just said we dont know how the promotions work and how they are triggered and said I’ll have to contact intel directly to see if the promotion as ended. woeful really, I don’t mind not getting the master key but amazons attitude was :(

bought the RAM from CEX online, £36.50inc 256GB NVME from a tech forum, used, £65inc considering either a Firecuda 2TB or just a fast 4TB for slower storage.

Costing me £3.99 to send the headset back, don’t mind , it means the 17inch laptop cost me less than £730 , brilliant deal

How much does it cost for the SSD and ram. Could you post as link to them if possible?

bought an SM961 NVME and an extra stick of 8GB, should all be here on Tuesday (y)

Anything above a mid-volume- No!

For those of you who were wondering like me if the reviews were fake, they are mostly genuine: https://reviewmeta.com/amazon-uk/B017I9CBPC

I have these (i think, or a similar model) bought for a similar price from Amazon about a year ago. only use them at the gym First 2 weeks they were amazing, then for about a month they were playing up, anytime my arms would pass my neck, for example Lat pulldowns, Shoulder presses etc my sound would stutter or jump/stop completely. No idea what would cause it and it used to annoy the hell out of me, then out the blue it just stopped doing it and hasnt happened for a very long time. Hold their charge quite well too.

Thought it was absolutely typical, just bought these Monday on a daily deal - but that's the newer model, although I can't see many differences other than a different in-line control and a claimed 8hr battery life vs 6hr on these. To echo some comments from above though, although they do come with a variety of interchangeable buds they all have the ear hook on, so if you don't want these for sport you might want to look elsewhere. The SoundPEATS Q30 are the same price (as the newer TaoTronics) and come with a load of different buds with and without the hook. I swapped mine with some I had on a pair of unused wired headphones and am fairly happy with them now, but it can be a little awkward to achieve a tight seal. Once you've got that though they do sound very good, somewhat surprisingly.

Corsair Refurbished (as new) VOID 7.1 RGB Gaming Headset - £42.95 @ eBay (hyper-uk)

"Refurbished" covers a wide range of sins but the vast majority of 'refurbished' items like this come from 'buyers remorse' returns to online retailers (DSR/CSR stuff) or retail/catalogue overstock (aka TK Maxx's entire inventory :) ) No manufacturer actually refurbishes anything - they simply check all the bits are there, quickly test that they work and repack em (often in a plain box as in this case - which deters bulk resale by making their non-brand-new status more obvious) Ear Wax - possibly but I guarantee you've had "new" items from online retailers and stores which have previously been 'used' - a LOT of DSR/CSR returns are resold as 'new' - clothing in stores has been tried-on before - headphones have been demoed and so on End of the day - if the warranty is good and you feel the seller will honor it - why not?

People who buy these report getting brand new units.

These are great - I have a pair which I got for £60, so this is a decent price if you dont mind the dried sweat/ear wax etc.

Refurb as new? Does that mean all ear wax has been guaranteed to be scraped off it before reselling?

HTC Vive Pro VR Headset £799 @ John Lewis with 2 year gaurantee
Found 9th AprFound 9th Apr
Sold out elsewhere 2 year warranty Now let's see how cold this gets!

this is really only relevant for people with a vive already. It's so expensive that I can only see it being desirable to people with so much disposable income that spending £1000 on something that will have little value in a year is no big deal. I would love this and the pimax but my rift already lets me experience all VR titles about as good as my 1060 can handle. My VR headset upgrade will have to have a significant resolution upgrade and be wireless (and hopefully no sensors as well) this will not be affordable for a few years yet but when it is hopefully a 1160 or 1260 will be able to handle 8k+ VR resolutions without a problem.

"Where did you pic up your controllers etc from OP?" From my old Vive. "Now let's see how cold this gets!" I said this because I expected it, not because I think this is cold myself. I'm probably alone with this view, but I think high-end VR kit like this is the bargain of the century. We are incredibly fortunate (1 in billions or trillions) to be living in a time where technology like this is available. For Google Earth VR alone, not to mention space travel and all the other possibilities. The way I justify the spend is by simply comparing to a holiday. I'd rather have an optimal VR setup at home versus a family trip to Orlando for a couple of weeks. Personally I see more value in this, the most sophisticated VR in the market today, but each to their own. "it is dead on arrival, pimax 8k is the only real vr experience worth trying, this is nothing but a gimmick" I see Vive Pro as better overall. Yes, Pimax has more pixels and field of view, but I'm with Vive because: + Well known and recognised brand (HTC) and retailer (John Lewis) behind it. + Well respected partners support (Valve/Steam, Apple, Intel...) + Full retail product and not a prototype or even first gen product anymore + Apps/games optimised for it + Superior in other ways: comfort, size, weight, audio, cameras, phone integration, chaperone etc + Premium accessories including sophisticated Intel-based wireless option round the corner + Lots more points but this is enough Mine is due to arrive tomorrow, can post review if people are interested. Disclaimer: I got 5% discount and as a developer can claim VAT back so I'm paying closer to £666, plus after selling old Vive headset and Audio accessory should be paying even less... Still I think it's worth far more than £799 but let's find out tomorrow.

Because the manufacturer's still don't get that the majority of people who want to entertain that whole VR thing can't warrant £700+ on a headset which to get the best out of it requires another £700+ GTX1080TI GPU to properly run it at a level that allows you to experience the full benefits and cost of the damn thing. No point in getting a top of the range VR headset then running it on a RX480 or GTX1060 or something like that. Oculus got it right when they dropped the price of the Rift down to a more reasonable £399 with controllers and even lower price point with the new Rift GO which I think will be £200 which will suffice allot of users even if it ain't as technologically on par with the proper rift. I personally know 7 people who've got a RIFT and only one whos got a VIVE and I can confirm that they were all on them for around the first 3-5 weeks of owning them and all these months later none of them really use them because either the games are too short, theirs not enough triple A titles or they cant be assed with all the cables and setup Vs just jumping on your usual games, but ask any of them if they want to sell them as they never use them and they will all say NO as per usual.. (lol)

When you compare this headset with the Samsung Oddyssey (Same res and OLED display) which is currently available at $399 on Amazon.com (and doesn't need all the extras that the HTC does) then I think you probably have your answer.

Nothing comes close to the Touch controllers for the Rift. I say, try out a demo and compare. I did and although the rift can be a little difficult to set up, once you get a good 4x4m play area, it's by far the best experience (imo) £800 is also an insane price for just the headset.

I've got this headset too and have the same issue. My way around it is putting a hoodie on, put the headphones over the hood which relieves a lot of pressure on the ears and I'd be able to wear them happily for hours. Overall, sound quality is decent. especially for the price. The mic works extremely well, sometimes too well to the point where I have change the mic settings to make it less loud for the people I'm speaking to.

Have had for 2 days now, surprising good quality and good sound

I have this for Xbox one, myself and the kids use it regularly without issue. Seems well made and comfortable. 3 months in and it's still works without fault.

Does this model come with the chat adapter for the Xbox One( X ) game controller?.. If it doesn't I would assume this headset would be useless with this game controller as I found out that only certain headsets will work properly with it!.. I believe there is a XBOX one X version of this headset that includes the chat adapter to allow you to also play ingame audio with party chat in the headset...

I have the original pulse elites. they were prone to cracking where the green marks are, as did mine. I have put some tie wraps around the parts marked in red and am still using the set after 4.5 years.

Clear cut review with no waffle. Thanks

Great review

My review of this new Gold vs the old Gold - Much more durable and no longer prone to the snapping issue the previous was known for - Sound quality slightly improved not much but the original Gold sound quality was good in the first place anyway - This New gold headset is 3D audio compatible like the Platinum headset great for VR etc - Mic quality is average same quality as previous Gold - More comfortable than previous Gold and lighter - Buttons on the headsets more like buttons and not digged in like the previous - Battery don't know if it's placebo but it seems ever so slightly better than old Gold Overall it's a clear improvement over the old Gold headset gave the old away to my cousins after thorough testing as i no longer need it, only con i can think of is the packaging box this arrives in the innards is less fancy than the Old one that's about it lol :) Here's some blog details of this if you wanna read up on it: https://blog.us.playstation.com/2018/02/05/new-gold-wireless-headset-hits-store-shelves-later-this-month/ https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2018/02/05/introducing-the-new-gold-wireless-headset-for-ps4-and-ps-vr-coming-soon-to-europe/

Had a pair of these some time back. They were great. Great headset for the budding audio enthusiast gamer

Just to give my feedback, I bought these yesterday and am taking them back today, very dissapointed with them. They are ok but not as good as the pair I wanted to replace, Fatal1ty Creative headset. I know each to their own as I can see some people like them.

I could, I just elected to scan through Amazon’s Q&A instead, thinking they would be more detailed/informative. It’s ok. We can leave it now. I have the answer I was looking for. These will work on console (despite having PC in the model name) :)

To get the microphone to work you need a 3.5mm y splitter. They can be had on ebay for as little as a pound. If you only care about game volume, they will work on practically anything.

3.5 jack makes this a no for me. For gaming need a USB one for better sound

Long cable on these, which is a pain in the butt if it is connecting to your controller. Just bear that in mind. Incredibly resilient headset, mic is decent and not got actual surround sound dolby kinda stuff, but they are mad useful on games like BF1.

Yes. Connects to your controller via the Jack (at least it does on the Xbox), so no fancy surround sound. Very good headset though.

It's wired and no much info whether it got surround sound. Seems like it links via a 3.5 jack.. So sound quality is questionable for me
