The colourised version really adds depth to the visuals of what is an already lovely film.

I'm normally against colourised versions but it is very well done for It's a Wonderful Life & really enhances the movie. More muted tones rather than technicolour which suits the film. My elderly mother who has loved this film since childhood will only watch the colour version now.

    Beautiful film.

My Dad’s favourite. He watches it every Christmas Eve. For his last landmark birthday I hired a private theatre and invited all his friends and family to watch it together.

ps. I find the story/message of it similar to A Christmas Carol and Butterfly Effect (to an extent).

Everyone should watch this film at least once. I watch it every year just before Christmas. Have both versions on dvd I alternate b&w one year. Then the colour version the next. Or if I'm lucky watch it at a local cinema.

Brilliant film, only watched it for the first time a few years ago and loved it.

I've watched the original version many times, but since I got hold of the colourised version that's the only one I ever watch now. Horses for courses though

But avoid the colourised version. Watch in native. (edited)

The colour version is a very subtle colour imo so doesn't spoil it.
