Everest (4K UHD) £3.49 to own on Amazon Prime Video
Posted 9 h, 36 m agoPosted 9 h, 36 m ago
First post! Haven't seen this anywhere else on the site. Great movie, even better in 4K UHD. Absolute bargain if you like re-watching the morbid drama.

Great film. Very emotional ;(

Great film- very gripping and good visuals/ story/cast. If you enjoyed vertical limit, you'll love this.

I was gonna watch this after reaching the summit but I've been told the signal is a bit flaky at the top. The uhd disk might be a better option unless your mate carrying the bluray player does not make it to the top with you. The surround sound will be lifelike though!

Good price. I enjoyed the film too. As well as convincing me never to climb Everest (embarrassed)

I was one of the lucky ones to get 4k and a digital download code for 4.99 In any case I enjoyed this movie so heat for the op

It’s 22 years old!!!

Spoiler alert, not everyone will have seen it......

Much like the Ring doorbell, if you tape this to the front of your house then thieves will be deterred from robbing you.

That scene is probably one of the scariest things I have ever watched

I watched this alone when I was 15. Couldn't be alone with the TV while it was turned off for over a month.

Thanks OP. Bought it. I watched, Knives Out, on Prime yesterday (included with Prime) so I'm in the mood for some more murder mystery.

Downton Abbey with teeth! Well worth two quid. Shame it doesn't come with subtitles.

Your cool. Good thing it says this is for Prime subscribers :)

And before being a spy he was a west end based drug pusher reference Layer Cake.

By coincidence, exactly the same here. I have 2 more days of the Amazon Prime 30 day trial (unwanted, but glad they tricked me into clicking the trial, don't ask...) that allowed me to see this FOR FREE. Anyone that has not had a free Prime trial before, can join for 30 days and immediately cancel the membership, so no £7.99 will be deducted automatically, yet still be a Prime member for the 30 days, with all the advantages that means. So this post IS a deal. I agree with the post mentioning Daniel Craig's Southern Accent, took a few moments to ignore the feeling that James Bond was a closet Southern Confederate General. The movie is well worth watching, there are twists in the plot right up to the end.

Try the just watch app. Filter to your subs and create a watchlist that way you can quickly view movies and tv shows that are available on platforms you subscribe to. Works for me!

Hmm, think I'd rather trust my own memory, thanks, unreliable though it sometimes is.

Sonic The Hedgehog HD Rental - £1.99 @ Amazon Prime Video (Prime Exclusive)

This is the last film I watched in the cinema before they closed for the lockdown. The film is a lot of fun, Jim Carrey's performance is fantastic, he plays a really good pantomime villain. I am glad they went back and changed Sonic after the first trailer released otherwise the film would not have had the widespread success it has. Hoping they release a sequel as it could be a silly but fun franchise to watch and hopefully get kids discovering and playing Sonic all over again.

Detective Pikachu is pretty good! But Sonic is bad! Really bad! Even Jim Carrey can't save it! Shame, as I was looking forward to it.

If you have surround sound, the audio in this film is amazing

It's not all that but I wouldn't say it sucks. Still had a few nice moments like the scenes with Jim Carrey. I think the biggest issue was that they made Sonic too happy-go-lucky and childlike, whereas in the games he's much much cooler and hero-like. Definitely prefer Detective Pikachu to this film!
