It is a reinterpretation of the 1965 ‘King Seiko’ KSK series; highly sought-after accurate mechanical watches with a stylish angular profile.
In the 1960s, King Seiko timepieces led Seiko Watch Corporation’s developments in world-leading technical precision, along with Grand Seiko. ‘King Seiko’ originated when multiple Seiko factories created different watches to encourage innovation – one of the Japanese watch brand’s constant aims.
This version is updated from its original inspiration with a newly developed slim structure combined with a sapphire box glass, for a case depth of 10.33mm, the slimmest of 6R calibre models. It features a King Seiko crest mark on the crown and caseback and the bracelet is inspired by the original 1960s design through a combination of mirror and hairline finishing.
The delicately cut three-dimensional indices are beautifully placed on the fine and radiant dial and the 12 o’clock marker is lightly finished by a pattern technique of making just one single surface incision at a time.
Its stately, dignified and majestically classic looks remain.

Seiko with the bonkers pricing again. You would think the movement would demand that price but listed tolerance of this movement -15 plus + 25 seconds at this price point is horrendous. You would be better going swiss at this kind of price point and also get something within cosc tolerance, just shows how crazy seikos pricing has become that you would be better considering swiss or competition. Seiko just don't certify so that is the reason for the loose tolerances, that being said if you are buying cosc certificated you won't get as much watch for the money. It's just the usual difference in what different parts of the market view as valuable, you could cost certify these movements, but it wouldn't get many more sales and you can always get it regulated yourself.

This is the only Seiko I feel is grossly over-priced, even at this discounted price. Personally, I'd stick with a Presage or Prospex over this. A real missed opportunity to bring King Seiko back.

    Still way too overpriced.
It also needs more of the ‘Seiko’ names on the dial, 2 are not enough.

Need to bring the King Seiko logo back too. For authenticity. Not coz it's reminiscent of anything.

Pity they don't put a grand Seiko movement in this, it's a nice looking dress watch. I particularly like the red dial version.

Just 20% more and we'd get to its actual price,
