Anyone on here has experience with this retailer?
On the fence about a new tablet but dunno if having a 2-in-1/Flip PC vs a tablet is a viable comparison?
Do they handle well compared to say a FireHD10 or the other sub £150 tablets that are floating around recently (not OS-wise, Win vs Android etc).
I get they are twice as thick but are they light enough for say comic/ebook reading comfortably or watching an epsiode of a show etc?
The last 2-in-1/flip I held was back when they shipped with XP...
Hehehehehe.
Either way, it was one of my better bit's of kit 'Windows driven' bit's of kit I'd had (up to that point, anyway) - various LINX Windows 10 hybrid laptop thing's aside, etc.
The Lenovo YOGA I was having at the time was on the then newer Windows 10 Home OS (which was more than sufficient for my needs).
And before you asked, yes, I too dabbled upon the 'tablet' concept as well ...
When I wasn't doing Windows only related 'stuffs', I was media streaming some movies on it - via Android.
As in, I'd installed 1 or 2 different Android Emulator's on it, via Windows, at the time.
Like, eg:
BlueStacks (by far, the most popular one).
NoxPlayer.
Andy.
To name but a few.
Longgggggg story short, IF you're prepared to pimp the hell out of it (somewhat, or whatever), then ...
Let's just say that, via such, you'd then have a 'BEAST', that with have bigger 'teeth', enough at least, to have more 'bite', than that of some actual Modern Day Android tablet's out there (figuratively speaking that is), hehehehe.
And yes, that's despite this particular Lenovo YOGA 2-in-1 hybrid laptop, being (quote/unquote) "dated".
Well, at least, by Today's current standards ...
Hopefully that helps a little? :-)
***** EDIT. *****
In 'Android Emulation' mode, the touchscreen 'touch' capabilities were second to none!
On account of the obvious - eg. Android DON'T use a mouse cursor thingy, does it?, as such, it was perfect! :-D
But, in 'Windows' mode however, well ...
Let's just say, sometimes 1 or 2 Windows related tasks had a random tendency to give me a niggle here or there.
In that, IF I was using my finger to touch over on the screen, in the same area (or near enough it, etc), of where the mouse cursor itself was, etc, then every so often, the mouse cursor then became intermittent on me.
Intermittent in that, the mouse cursor would sometimes then randomly jump, into unspecified other areas of the laptop screen at the time.
Which, yes, was annoying, but, not greatly though, as this wasn't all the time it did such, or whatever, no (Happy Day's), but still ...
Something to consider too, perhaps? :-) (edited)
Cant see anything on this listing, but the link above by fractalien shows minimum 1 hour standby, which is basically nothing.
Which, even though being reasonable at the time, wasn't exactly fantastically great, as some laptop's were averaging around 3-4 hour's at the time - including that of another Lenovo (non touch) laptop I was owning at the time.
Note to self:
Don't forget, the OP's laptop is going back a wee bit now, yeh?
So thing's like wear and tear, battery used used and yes used again, as well as some 'tired' battery cell's over x-Year's, etc, and ...
Are now, naturally all to be expected somewhat, right? :-D
That's how I see it anyway. :-)
So to be expected ...
Hehehehehehe.
My i7 was lightning quick at the time too - but poor battery life.
But its only worth the low price now. So not really a saving.
