Got mine delivered today, have to say that it's not as good as I was expecting.

I'm not going to send it back, but the colour calibration was dreadful out of the box with everything having a terrible blue tint to the point that I had to manually adjust many values to get it anything like it's 27" sibling it is sitting alongside.

That is very unusual for an LG panel to be so poor out of the box. Turns out that the monitor appears to be a cheaper version of the monitor that LG actually advertise. It has less ports than featured on the LG site, doesn't have the red accents (the red bits are all black) and uses a cheaper BOE panel rather than LG using their own.

I think we can all see why LG have cut the price of the screen by £40. Shame they have decided to not update the photos on their own website to reference the removal of ports, removal of red accents and whilst technically the new panel meets the specs, it's clearly been substituted for a cheaper panel. The fact LG bought in panels from an external provider despite being the biggest manufacturer of panels in the world, says it all.

There is no way that LG should be able to sell this monitor on their website claiming a £40 saving when the model that they are now selling clearly looks like a revised cheaper version of the product than what was sold at full price. (edited)
