Good price, but to anyone who has a flip, are they actually decent phones or just a gimmick? The fold appears to be the better design imo. (edited)

Is the 13 mini worth the extra over the 12?

The 12 is a better value for the money, but the 13 mini is a worthy upgrade, having bought both. the extra screen on time is noticeable, the speakers are significantly better, cameras a little better. Screen gets a little brighter as well.
considering the 13 mini's price i'd go for the 13 for sure.
Although, I might as well add the fact that the 12 mini (blue) i ordered arrived brand new and sealed (not even activated so full year of warranty and applecare+ available to be purchased for 60 days), whereas the 13 mini came in the brown giffgaff packaging, no marks and such but not as good an experience. Don't think that should offset the benefits of the 13 mini mind you, especially if you're going to be using the phone for years to come.

You just won't find a better price for the 13 mini any time soon, my device came with apple warranty ending march 2024, and 100% battery health. It's definetely like new, no doubts about that. (edited)

Just received a 13 mini “like new”. It’s pretty much immaculate and the battery health is showing as 100% only problem now is that I am switching from a Samsung s20 and the screen is pants in comparison!

iphone mini 13 arrived today. 100% battery life and fantastic condition. Just has a weird mark from the lasering they've done on the CE logo from the factory but its nothing to get upset about

I’m currently on the 14 Pro but just re-purchased (sold in the past) the Mini 13 as it is a fantastic device and I really miss the size/weight.

Only 64gb though. If wanting 128gb the 13 mini is cheaper

Am I right in saying you have to buy these with a giffgaff contract (despite by being able to cancel straight away) so you would need to take the £10 contract so adds this to the total price?

Couldn't see a way to avoid this step.

mildly tempted by the 13mini but I forgot for a second about the upcharge for decent storage. I'll stick with my Xperia then.

it is a cheap fix, you can buy another screen protector for less than £20 or take it to samsung if its within the devices warranty

The majority of these screen failures are because people havent read the instructions on how NOT to open and close the device.

A like using a hammer on an iPad to type out a message.

I have an Iphone 8 Plus and I and am keen to upgrade.

I see the Iphone 13 mini is 5.4 in screen and the 8 Plus is 5.5 inch screen, so virtually the same size, with the main aesthetic/physical difference being no bezel/home button etc. and of course massively improved internals.

    Is this worth the upgrade?

I've been toying with getting a second hand 11 or 12 on ebay and they've been coming in between £250-£350 each, so this is more, but is it a better overall choice if I'm happy with the screen of the 8 plus?

Any personal experience or real time usage knowledge would be a help, many thanks.
