sorted byNo reliability issues or breakages. Brilliant!
- USB transformers are invariably always energised and will constantly draw a little power even if not in use (unless there's a physical switch in the USB socket - very rare)
- if the USB socket breaks you technically need a qualified electrician to replace the electrical socket
- if you want to keep up with changing USB standards are you going to change your electrical socket every few years?
It's better for a number of reasons to keep low power stuff separate from the physical wiring and sockets.
