Panasonic spelt wrong on title

Sounds like a Chinese knockoff. X)

That would be an LZ20, not a TZ20!

should show some examples taken with this camera

Yeah may be same price at Argos, but you try find a store that has one. As they don't have any stock for delivery. Use the stock finder for the closest 40 stores to me and nothing. Ordered from Amazon, watching that camera for past cpl of weeks

Crazy cheap for a quality bridge camera.

Didn't quite get that, this is £10 cheaper than Very so it's an inferior deal?

you understand how deals work right?

Came across a so-called review for this last night, chap started on about FZ200 and I thought it was a typo but a bit more reading and Googling I found the FZ200 was a £400 cam while this was meant to be about £85. Conclusion: good camera but don't expect large aperture size when zooming, or the low-light performance of more expensive CMOS based cams.

This or the IXUS SX240?

I bought this before i seen this deal on here as a gift, set it up and tested it today for my girlfriend and i want it myself! Brilliant value for money!

wow a whole 9 camera's

Manual exposure - very unusual on a camera like this!

Could be good for anyone wanting to experiment before moving to a DSLR.

I think this was released at the same time as the FZ200 and another - a couple of reviewers I read had covered all three cams in the same review.

SX240 is pocketable - makes a big difference - of course it's also twice the price.

Good value, but no EVF is a major omission on a bridge.

Cheers, holiday sorted. Hot!!

I bought this the other day from Very
it is 79 but if you open a credit account with them it will come down to £49..
( after trying now I feel a bit disappointed comparing it to my xperia T phone. probably what I need is an idiot proof compact)
codes will be found on amazon post of the camera( thanks )
sorry I am using mobile app cant copy the link

i really fancy this, and no EVF is not a real issue for me, but it's really hard to find a review of this through google - while zoom is great i'm more concerend with low-light performance (pubs, parties, moving people). anyone got any feedback on that specific area ?

You're quite right - one of the more useful features of a bridge camera is a good EVF; as is a wide aperture through the zoom range. This camera falls short on those points but is still very good value.

Maybe they just think people buying base models aren't too fussed what the pictures are like, or maybe it's snobbery by the reviewers, but unfortunately you rarely see base models given a thorough review.

What does anyone who has this think of the shutter speed? We got one and hubby thinks it's really bad but I'm convinced it's just we don't know what we're doing

Looking at the examples on flickr, the image quality is below average imo, quite a lot of noise even in daylight.

Does anyone know what it includes

I bought this 2 weeks back for £80. Got £5 refund last week when it dropped to £75 and now just got another £5. All by just using amazon chat facility. Amazon r fab

Thanks op.

i was afraid of that given the small sensor. really want a cheap snapper i can take to pub/parties and this was too large but had good features - rather something portable and good in low light for party use and spend my cash on a real camera (bought an nx1000 for someone and that is a damn nice camera)

cheers for response, no doubt this is a good camera for those wanting a budget bridge but it doesn't fulfill the "portable party snapper" role for me while being useful elsewhere.

Looks a great deal.
Is this too big to fit in a shirt pocket ?

depends on the shirt size.):
joking.. yes it is.

Picked mine up for £52.95 delivered from Very with the codes from the other Amazon thread from a few days ago. Nice camera and if its anything like my other Panasonic ZX1 then I will be pleased with it

whatsThePoint

no it isn't, at this price point its a minor omission at most

Here we go again, the stalker's back. The whole point of a bridge camera is it's versatility, ie, it's ability to perform adequately across a range of subject matter, from action, wildlife, portraiture, holiday snaps etc. The advantage of an EVF when taking fast-action shots, or indeed any kind of photos on a sunny day, is enormous. Without an EVF, a bridge camera has little advantage over a high-zoom compact.

You should try and give more details - bad in what way?
Is the camera selecting the wrong speed? (which would be a metering issue) - do you have it in one of the various modes, like candle-light / night-time, etc?

got this from Amazon for £79.99 10 days ago. did a chat with the support guy and 10£ back :D- very happy with the purchase and the camera as well
- i think it is a grab for £69
