Thanks OP, bought this and baked my first loaf with it today. I’ve been used to hand baking my bread but with the cost of using the oven and lack of time I thought I’d give this a try and so glad I did.

It bakes a perfect loaf. I placed the ingredients in for the 5 seeded loaf to start with. Went out for a few hours and the bread was ready a few minutes after we returned. The loaf just tipped straight out of the basket without persuasion. The bread was light and fluffy, dough had risen perfectly, nice crust and seeds were well distributed throughout the loaf. So tasty. Can’t beat a freshly baked loaf and this really is an excellent machine. Cost of electric for the 4 hour bake was about 20p on Octopus Tracker.

If anyone is undecided just go for it. (edited)

Not on offer atm, but shopping for a bread maker this week - still love it?

It’s the size that’s the big put off for me

It's £70 more expensive than this model: hotukdeals.com/dea…140

Is the only difference the yeast and nut dispenser?

Yeast/nut dispenser. The 2540 can also bake with spelt flour and sourdough and has manual settings as well as the automatic ones. (edited)

I wish we were in the market but our old Panny is still going strong and baking delicious loaves. We use it four or five times a week. We do have the model with the dispenser and love a seeded/nutty loaf.
