Was looking at the different options on the EE website after seeing the PS5 with Gods of War game and noticed the stand alone PS5 Disc edition console was £30 off if making one payment, Seemed a good deal as just £449.99 but then noticed if you did the pay monthly for 11 months it is only £440.00!

for this price bought disc version more than 2 yr ago! cold as hell for me ! doesnt matter if Sony looking for excuses and trying reaping off people. your wallets voting. if you gonna stop buying consoles for this price, they will drop price very quickly. Unfortunetly population generaly is focused on consumption, they even dont think like that. Just paying more more and more... (edited)

Even if the RRP was still £450 (it isn't) then yes, a tenner off would still have been a good deal as it's a tenner off and everywhere else sells at RRP. Never fails to amaze how people don't get it...

If you’re getting this on ‘pay monthly’ your contract is going to go up in line with the ‘retail price index’ in March (likely to be just over 10%) so you’ll end up paying around £40 above market value over the course of the 11 months. It’s the reason they’re selling these at a discount…

Not really that much of a gamer anymore but would've bought the PS5 as a UHD disc player with a bonus console attached but from what I've read the PS5 doesn't support Dolby Vision. Crazy! Sale lost on that alone as I would've made this the media hub. Looks like i'll have to go the standalone route then.
Not gonna be a big deal for everyone but is for me. Anyway, that's my story. Heat anyway.

I agree.

This is the first time that I have not been an early adopter for Playstation. The availability, pricing, reliability and the fact that PS4 titles still look pretty good means that I am happy to wait for a revised or Pro version no matter how long I have to wait. (edited)

Wow what a deal....it's now back to what it was originally. And how many PS5 exclusives do we have? The ps2 had 30 launch titles. The PS5 I don't think has 30 ps5 only games. Pass.

Still a good deal even if the slim comes out soon. Just sell this one then and upgrade, may lose £100 but at least you’ve had this for the 9 month or so until then (assuming a slim even does come out this year)

Guys i presume this is ONLY for customers of EE, as i cancelled my contract with them a few years back. Tried to register a new account & i keep getting the login screen next to the section marked buy it now or pay monthly?
