    No softshell is waterproof. If that is important, get a hardshell.
    At 327g in weight , this is light for a softshell. Generally more weight means thicker material which can absorb more water before feeling uncomfortable.
    This jacket is 75% heavier and costs £2.50 more, so may give better protection but not waterproof.

    Love softshell jackets and trousers as they keep out the chill, but so many workers wear better styles nowadays so even though this is very cheap it looks cheap even thought it is not.
