Am I right in guessing that the Samsung cashback offer for these SSDs has expired now? (edited)

The 2TB 990 Pro was cheaper than the 980 Pro last Week.
Not worth considering the 3 Year old 980 Pro with Easter Deals soon.

Had a problem with this Drive, possibly connected to the v3 Firmware Bug.
1TB 980 Pro is two Years old and has 15.7TB written to it. Updated Drive Firmware only last Month.

Failed on Magician Data Migration after an attempted clone to a new 990 Pro.

Failed on Diagnostic Scan (Full) showing 1 Bad Cluster in Red. It also failed on Gigabyte Master BIOS Disk Scan. Passed on Windows Disk Check.

Copying from this Drive had become very slow. Temperatures on all 3 installed M3 Drives were idle at 48 Degrees.

It went downhill after that, Start Menu became buggy and Calculator didn't exist on the Drive anymore.

In diskpart, protected Volumes can be removed.
    delete par override

In Disk Man. create new GPT Volume.
Create Partitions and untick Quick Format - writes all Flash Memory with FF

Magician Diagnostic Scan (Full) and Gigabyte Master BIOS Disk Scan(Full) both Passed.

Disk Temperatures are now different where before they were around 48 C at idle (Magician had a recent update and it may have contained a Temperature bug fix)

    970 EVO 512GB 18 C
    980 Pro 1TB 48 C
    990 Pro 2TB (Boot) 21 C

    Clean the Drive before RMA.

990 pro is currently cheaper on Amazon today, someone just posted the deal. It's like £152 or 154. Something like that

    1TB 980 Pro
    Sequential Read 6,566 MB/s
    Sequential Write 5,230 MB/s
    Random Read 947,265 IOP/s
    Random Write 800,292 IOP/s

It does very when running later.

Diagnostic Scan does not work with a 970 EVO.

I would steer clear of this drive if you are buying for PS5. Not worth the risk.

Are you referring to the firmware issues? If so the recently manufactured drives have the latest firmware
